The Tall Ship at Riverside is one of Glasgow's most unique visitor attractions! Rated as 4 Star visit by Visit Scotland we aim to transport you back to when the SV Glenlee was an operating cargo ship. Built on the River Clyde in 1896 is one of only 5 of her kind still afloat in the world today and she is the only one in the UK. Climb aboard for this rare opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of the ship including the Captain's Cabin, Children's Play Area, Engine Room and the Cargo Hold Cinema. Take a tour of the ship using our Audio Guide facility and enjoy a coffee while you browse for souvenirs.

This attraction is now free and well worthwhile for a visit. This gives you a good taste for what a Tall Ship is like. It would not be suitable for a disabled person.

The Tall Ship is a museum but also an activity for young and old children as there is a lot of fun to be had on it! The staff is very friendly and the entrance is free!

I brought my 8yr old twins all the way from Dundee to Glasgow for the day. They were really excited to visit the tall ship, unfortunately due to a bus breaking down, and the next bus being stuck in traffic we arrived at 15.31, last entrance for the tall ship was 15.30! The guy who I asked if we could... More

The fog horn is very definitely the best bit in the entire ship and I would say that you may want to stay behind the horn when it's in use. Also the ship has other things of interest on it.

Absolutely absorbing museum right next to the Riverside Museum right on the Clyde. The ship is magnificent and has been beautifully restored. What I most loved is the access you get. Absolutely everything is open and accessible from the engine room, galley, cargohold, captains quarters, crew sleeping quarters, bridge...everything. Great for the kids...you can send morsels code, press the fog... More
