The Tall Ship at Riverside is one of Glasgow's most unique visitor attractions! Rated as 4 Star visit by Visit Scotland we aim to transport you back to when the SV Glenlee was an operating cargo ship. Built on the River Clyde in 1896 is one of only 5 of her kind still afloat in the world today and she is the only one in the UK. Climb aboard for this rare opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of the ship including the Captain's Cabin, Children's Play Area, Engine Room and the Cargo Hold Cinema. Take a tour of the ship using our Audio Guide facility and enjoy a coffee while you browse for souvenirs.

We visited the Car Museum inside first which was amazing but by the time we got out the ship had closed and we weren't able to get inside. However it was still good to get up close to it and take some photos. It is a really lovely spot and definitely worth going to see.

Great fun for adults and children. There are interactive areas and you are allowed to explore pretty much the whole vessel. A really good coffee shop and gift shop selling souvenirs at very reasonable prices.

Great, but perhaps not for those with limited mobility. A fine example of what the Clyde is famous for.

Go see this ship, it will be beyond your expectations and well worth the donation that they give you the option of giving

Excellent way to spend a few hours and experience life on a sailing ship. Lot's to see and do for adults and children. Donation only but no pressure and well worth a few pounds.

The Tall Ship really is a must see attraction. I have to be honest I have visited the Transport Museum on a few occasions now and had not appreciated that the Tall Ship was an independent museum and a separate attraction. It is free to board the ship (the museum relies on donations) and you are free to wander around... More

The view from the ship is impressive, with the ship's image cleverly reflected in the huge glass windows of the museum building alongside. Great photo opportunities, looking at the Clyde along the bowsprit, the intricacies of the rigging, and towering masts and yards. Below decks, videos featuring characters from the ship's history give a great feel of what life at... More

Would definitely recommend a visit particularly if there is an event on it, I went to ceilidh in here and I thought it was an exceptional venue. It has bags of character and is really interesting to get to see the inner workings of ship of this era.
