The Tall Ship at Riverside is one of Glasgow's most unique visitor attractions! Rated as 4 Star visit by Visit Scotland we aim to transport you back to when the SV Glenlee was an operating cargo ship. Built on the River Clyde in 1896 is one of only 5 of her kind still afloat in the world today and she is the only one in the UK. Climb aboard for this rare opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of the ship including the Captain's Cabin, Children's Play Area, Engine Room and the Cargo Hold Cinema. Take a tour of the ship using our Audio Guide facility and enjoy a coffee while you browse for souvenirs.

A glimpse of a bygone age

The ship is very well preserved, you can explore below deck and talk to knowledgeable staff about life on board. It is right next to the Transport museum so a great day out.

When you visit Riverside Museum you can climb on board and imagine life below decks in time gone by. It is well preserved and very interesting.

This ship is worth a visit, their is a bit of the ships history told about where sailed to and how it was purchased back from Spain and and rebuilt.

Slightly surprised to discover that groups have to pay, but it is still a very good day out. I went with a group of Brownies, and had a gret visit. Children really enjoyed scrubbing the deck and seeing what the living quarters would have been like.

This attraction gives a flavour of the conditions both living and working of the men that sailed these incredible vessels around the world - captured in moving images , actual living conditions and narratives . An amazing and educational experience

A beautifully restored and maintained tall ship. It is docked beside the Riverside Transport Museum and it solely depends on donations, so PLEASE do take the time to contribute by buying a programme.

Much better than a lot of ships in the country in dockyards and free entry which adds it to highlights of it all.

Well worth a visit - the variety on offer was tremendous in such a lovely location. The Tall Ship alone was worth the visit, but so much more to see

Here you can peek into the lives of the sailors from the old times. Smell the adventure. Very children friendly, and also a nice place for adults. Fantastic attraction and it is completely free. Can you find the 100 hidden mice on board? :)
