Primary reason for this visit was to see RM House for which there is an entrance fee, but the actual museum is free (donations). The house does not disappoint! You can visit the house as a tour during the week but there are limited spaces and you aren't given much time viewing but if you visit at the weekend you... More

Good quality public museum housing the collection of Dr William Hunter. Free entry means that visitors to Glasgow should find their way to check out the museum and the University of Glasgow's grounds.

The Hunterian Art Gallery is exceptional. A smallish, but all the better for it, very beautiful collection and the tour of the Rennie Mackintosh rooms was breathtaking. I had seen so many images of it, but to enter those rooms is a journey into the exquisite.

There is much to see within this Gallery. We were particularly impressed with the collections of work by The Scottish Colourists and The Glasgow Boys. In addition, it was a surprise to find an extensive collection of work by James McNeill Whistler.

This isn't a huge collection but it is very interesting and, living in East Kilbride, it's good to have the opportunity to learn more about our famous brothers.

This isa great little art gallery and well worth the short bus ride out from the centre of the town. Well laid out and with the real gem of a rebuilt Rennie Mackintosh house interior for a small charge. One not to miss.

For all the times we have been in Glasgow we have never considered a visit to the Hunterian Museum. What a mistake on our part. On a recent visit to Kelvingrove Art Gallery however we decided to walk back to Byres Road via the park and up University Avenue. It was there we noticed the sign and decided to pay... More
