A gem not to be missed!

The collection is very interesting and surprising, the building stunning, the atmosphere very nice! I usually take visitors from abroad there and they love it!

I spent 1½hrs looking through the Hunterian collection. The museum is situated in Glasgow University and is an excellent place to spend a quiet hour or two in contemplation of the various collections within its halls.

Here you’ll find just some of the extensive collections of Dr William Hunter on display in two large rooms and upstairs gallery. Some of the highlights to view are scientific instruments, Roman artefacts and anatomical specimens in glass jars. The museum is located in the university building off Kelvin Way. Entry is free.

The surroundings at the University of Glasgow are lovely and the exhibits are interesting, some are a little gruesome the interior is as impressive as the cloisters and grounds on the exterior.

Brilliant FREE museum situated at The University of Glasgow. A wide range of exhibits with the Roman artefacts of particular interest, especially as they are from local sites.

I was surprised by how few Scottish artists I knew and how little their work is displayed around the UK. Definitely worth a visit to educate oneself.

Wonderful exhibitions in a beautiful setting. It's worth a look around the university too as it's a lovely building.

This is a great museum covering wide range of subjects. It is not large but could easily occupy half a day - especially if the art gallery and Mackintosh house are also visited. The main museum contend much interesting medical and scientific material. However it is inside the main University building and is entered from the top of University avenue... More

From one mans collection comes an intriguing museum. Each piece has it's own story and the museum covers an eclectic style of collecting. Each to access within Glasgow University itself, this is a must visit for locals and vistors. The only down side is that it is too small
