Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are visiting Glasgow this tour is a must. It takes about an hour and a half and crams so much information in this timescale it is a miracle. The lady who took my group was so friendly and relaxed it was like going for a walk with an old friend. We met in George Square and after a fascinating mini tour of the beautiful Glasgow City Chambers we were shown around the Merchant City and had every statue and street explained in a fun or serious manner that matched the subject. I am a Glaswegian and l found out more about my city from Patricia Clark than l thought l would. I encourage anyone to go on this tour whether you are a tourist or not as Greeting Glasgow walking tour will give you the stories of the real Glasgow told by a real Glaswegian. If she has any of her books available buy one it is a great account of her family stories and fantastic photos of the east end of Glasgow.

Patricia is a wonderful guide, she can tell you all you want to know and more. I have been in Glasgow for 2 months and I've not met anyone else who knows just about any buildings and places in Glasgow like she does. She even walked the tour just for one person. I'm very impressed with Glasgow after she showed me the city and shared many interesting facts and stories of Glasgow. I hope she offers more tours and i'll sure be joining each and every one of her tours and.

We booked a combination tour with Patricia (about 2.5-3hrs), after reading about her here on TripAdvisor, and we're really glad we did! She was nice, attentive and really knowledgeable... the pace of the tour was nice (she was quick but thorough!). We love doing walking tours of the cities we visit, and doing it as a private tour with a local, made it even better.
She's passionate about this city and eager to introduce you to all its wonders... Definitinely recommend her tour!

On the tour with my father and two sons (teenagers). We live on the outskirts of Glasgow and have been brought up with many stories from relatives who lived in Glasgows East End. The tour was extremly informative, interesting, funny and more.
I would definately recommend this. It cost £8 per adult and the kids are free.

this was my 2nd time to glasgow and my mom's first trip to europe, and we decided to take an afternoon walking tour with Patricia. We found the tour super-informative, and got a real feel for the city and the history of glasgow through Patricia's great stories and her informal fun way of carrying on. Warning- the graveyard bit gets a little spooky~!:) All in all a great tour and highly recommended.

On a recent visit to Glasgow I had a few hours to spare and decided to take a tour of the City where I was born.
I met our tour guide, Patricia in the city center for a 'Merchant City' tour. It quickly became clear that Patricia has a knowledgeable and abiding passion for her city and its people.
Our tour group was made up of four people - all with different interests and walking speeds - but Patricia informed, fascinated and charmed us all. The city around us came alive as she took us along streets and into buildings all the while relating the stories of the past, the people who had lived and worked there and her own family who have a fascinating story of their own. Who knew that American President John F Kennedy began his political career in Glasgow?!
The pace is just right (no steep hills!) and we had a chance to stop for refreshment.
This must be the best value 'thing to do' in Glasgow. I'm definitely up for the 'East End' tour next time I'm in town - Patricia has published a book about that area know as 'The Calton' using her family photographs - ask her to show you some.
Be sure to take your camera!

Fantastic insight into the Carlton area of the city. Seen bits of Glasgow I did not know about (originally from the city). Patricia was the perfect guided, loved the personal input and photos.

I did the Glasgow city walking your with Patricia who is a local Glaswegian who has studied local history and art as well as her personal experience of growing up in Glasgow. Patricia was very friendly and very knowledgeable and her passion for her city came out. The tour went longer than her website said, which was fine with me because there was so much to see! She has designed the tour to have lots of dry places to talk if it is rainy, thankfully the weather was beautiful. If you want a great introduction into the history and architecture of Glasgow this is an awesome tour!

Highly recommend taking either one of the tours. I took both, and was very pleased with them. Patricia has so much knowledge and interesting stories about Glasgow. She is very professional, yet the tours have a very comfortable 'vibe' and pace to them. After the tours, I saw Glasgow in a totally 'different light'. I recommend that these tours be put on your to-do list while in Glasgow.
