Small intimate theatre - pass if you are tall people or have long legs

Went to watch the Derren Brown Miracle Show. Lovely original décor inside very grand. Seats are small and even at 5'2 I felt quite pushed for leg room - knees were rammed into the... read more

It is a shame for Derren Brown as me and my partner enjoyed the actual show but all other aspects of our experience were horrible. The venue is not fit to host such an event with just one air conditioning unit at the back of the gallery blowing out hot air. It was extremely uncomfortable as we felt crammed in... More

Went to watch the Derren Brown Miracle Show. Lovely original décor inside very grand. Seats are small and even at 5'2 I felt quite pushed for leg room - knees were rammed into the seat in front. However - a nice small intimate venue good view of the stage even from up high. Did get very hot in here particularly... More

Went to see Derren Brown at Kings theatre this week, overall theatre is beautiful, very traditional, seats comfortable. Toilets could be better and more of them, long cue at ladies in the interval, it was also very hot in the theatre. The show was amazing, well worth the trip down from the highlands. BUT we went into the bar before... More

I visited the theatre last night to see Derren Brown. The theatre is very traditional, with its stalls and three upper circles. The Theatre is generally in good condition, and seats I found were much comfier than most modern cinemas. My only real criticism is that if you are in the back few rows of the stalls you cannot see... More

The Show was brilliant but the theatre was a disgrace. It was smelly, filthy and unbearably hot. Rarely do I wipe my feet as I leave anywhere but I did on Saturday evening. Avoid this pit if you like basic comfort.

Went to Footloose. The actual show was pretty poor, the sound was poor, the acting was poor and only a couple of songs were from the original soundtrack. The worst thing was the "Security" staff in the theatre. They spent the entire show marching up and down the aisles on their radio handsets, staring and pointing at audience members. At... More

The Kings theatre needs a facelift, although it is very nostalgic. We went to see footloose and was disappointed with the performance, a few cast members with well known names where a let down. The younger cast where very good, particularly the girl playing Rusty she is a star in the making, excellent performance.

After visiting the theatre to see Guys and Dolls,I left a parcel. I was delighted when I phoned the stage door to be told it was waiting to be picked up. Thanks to the staff, especially the stage door manager who was very amusing and helpful.

The King's Theatre is an excellent venue in Glasgow. The theatre is a good size, offering plenty of seat/price choice. Wherever you sit, you have a good view of the stage. Guys & Dolls was fantastic last night! Every year there is a varied range of shows to see. I have been to this theatre numerous times; too many to... More

My favourite theatre as it's so easy to get to from Charing Cross. Loved the show as well and the theatre is lovely inside. I usually get an end seat as I have long legs but have never got any refreshments so can't comment on that.
