Moved back to Glasgow 11 years ago and just love the West End, it reminds of Covent Garden in London with the old cobbled stones streets, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, book shops, bars and even The Grosvenor Cinema in Ashton lane. It has a very nice relaxing feel, I feel so happy whilst walking down Byres Road. It is a pretty... More

Great shops, pubs and eateries all within easy walking distance of subway link. As well as Byres road walk along Great Western Road. The food shops and deli's are excellent. Almost every ethnic taste catered for. Ashton lane is particularly nice. I could easily spend all day here. Love this area

Fabulous buildings, wonerful parks. A walk down Byres road for shopping or eating, the place is alive with interesting places. I love it and would not visit Glasgow without taking it in.

Close to city centre, (walking distance). We did it as part of the Hop on experience. History along with beautiful stained glass windows. Would recommend.

There’s an abundance of things to do in the West End quarter. There is a great choice of cafes, shops, restaurants, and bars off Byres Road. It's a leafy a residential area and also home to many students. The Glasgow Botanic Gardens and University are situated in the West End. You can live and socialise in the West End without... More
