We booked an 8-day private tour for 6 people throughout Scotland with Stravaigin Scotland Tours and it was AMAZING! We started in Edinburgh visiting Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Portree, Isle of the Skye, Cairngorms, St. Andrews (and more) and ending in Glasgow. We would highly recommend booking with Stravaigin if you are interested in a beautiful tour with flexibility while seeing the beautiful country of Scotland.

Natalie, tour planner was wonderful to work with. We let her know what types of things we were interested in seeing and doing while in Scotland and she created a wonderful itinerary for us that was flexible as needed. She was prompt in getting back with me when I emailed despite the 5-hour time difference.

Our driver, Andie was absolutely wonderful--personable, knowledgeable, kind, and caring. She gave us suggestions of additional places we may want to see, which were always a wonderful surprise and added so much to the tour. She knew of places that we would not have known even existed. It is obvious how much she loves her country, Scotland. The excitement she showed in sharing that knowledge with her tour group was special.

The bus was spacious and comfortable. There was a refrigerator to keep our drinks cold, which was nice. The hotels that Natalie had reserved for the tour were clean with comfortable beds/pillows, and warm hot showers. Most of the hotels didn't have elevators, so be ready to carry your luggage up a flight or two of stairs. We loved the heated towel bars that the majority of the hotels had.

The next time we are in Scotland, we will definitely use Stravaigin Tours. We would recommend the tour company to family and friends. They are a small company, but from start to finish our 8-day tour was fantastic! Thank you Stravaigin for making our private tour so special!

Really good, tasty Scottish food in relaxed setting near the University. Great waitress who guided and recommended brilliantly. Excellent wine list which was very good value for money.
Must visit on a trip to Glasgow.
We will happily return.

We were disappointed with the "guided tour" component of our experience. The guide never left the van to guide us anywhere. The guide would talk about where we were going and then open the door and let us go - like a luxury car service rather than a guided tour. The website shows the guides walking people around, pointing things out, talking about what they are seeing - ours never left the van. I could understand if there were places where guides were restricted but that didn't apply. There were large tour groups being guided outside and inside at the sites and I wished I was hearing what they were learning and laughing about. I felt a bit ripped off - here I was paying nearly $1000 per day for a private guided tour and I'm staring longingly at big tour groups. The guide was a great driver and super likable and fun but said they couldn't leave the van because of medical issues when we asked why. We felt safe and comfortable in the van. Nice to leave stuff we didn't need in the van. We were told there isn't wifi in the van. When I asked ahead of time for restaurant recommendations - they gave me one and a trip advisor link - not the personalized input I had hoped for. I can't recommend this group.

Wow! Where to begin… the entire process for our trip was fantastic with Stravaigin. Natalie was great with advice and helping set up our perfect 7-day itinerary which accommodated 7 of all ages (13-62) and different pick up locations. Thank you.
Our guide, Keith, was absolutely fabulous!!! From initial pick up do trip off, he was energized, engaged, knowledgeable, funny… no words to describe the thoughtful approach to making our vacation of a lifetime truly memorable. Thank you!! Keith has the gift of entertaining and his character accounts from Outlander made for increased anticipation for the sights, sounds and feelings we experienced on our hourly of a lifetime. The scenery, glens, lochs, ocean, battlefields, castles (no, if you’ve seen one you have NOT seen the all…), 4k year old relics, fairies and folklore abound and Keith made the trip magical. Skye is a must-do for at least 3 days to take in the richness of the isle. I will be back! The West Highland Way is calling. Namaste!

So happy we found this terrific tour company. We only had 7 hours and wished to gain an overview of the history, sights and uniqueness of Glasgow.

Trevor, our tour guide did such a brilliant job of sharing the history, beautiful spots and heritage. We gained so many insights and made some great memories. Highly recommend.

Natalie is a jewel of a guide! She made the trip so special and wow, she could drive that 16 passenger van anywhere and it was just amazing watching her back that into any slot for parking. I loved how she flowed with our family and tried her best to get us everywhere we wanted to go and introduced us to many awesome places we would have never known to go to. She was a real trooper with the mechanical issues the van was having and worked hard to get it repaired and limit the disruption in our journey. The whole trip flowed so good and we lucked out with amazing beautiful, sunny weather the whole trip that matched Natalie's sunny personality! Natalie in the office did a great job putting together our itinerary and I loved everywhere we stayed. We even got to spend a night in Foulis Castle, home of the Munro Clan that our family line traces back to. Excellent tour of Foulis as well.
One little hiccup with meals -- There were 13 of us and after we had trouble finding places to eat that would take 13, Natalie, in the office, was on it and got reservations for us before we arrived in the various towns and villages. They were all so responsive and so great to work with.

The Outlander Tour with Keith Kikki Flemming was outstanding. You must ask for him, as he is an Actor that played on a couple of Seasons on Outlander Series…. We saw the Country side of Scotland and several Castles and other places that Outlander was filmed. He knew all the players and gave special insight to the Nitty Gritty of Claire and Jaime. Highly recommend!

Our group of 8 enjoyed our specially tailored tour of key sites from the Outlander series. Our tour guide Keith Keke Flemings was amazing! He was caring, detailed, prompt, humorous, talented and a well informed interesting guide. To our pleasant surprise, he shared that he was a prior cast member in the popular series and shared some interesting behind the scenes information! His stories, singing and information entertained us throughout our day long journey. We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure, especially walking the historic castles, learning more about the fascinating history of this beautiful country! I would highly recommend this tour company and our terrific guide Keith...known as Lesley on the show! Thanks for a lasting pleasant memory!

We had an 8 day guided tour of Scotland in June, I had been coordinating with Stravaigin for over a year and they did a great job with the itinerary. We had a sprinter van and a driver/guide with us called Keith. The guide on these types of trips is essential to a great tour and Keith is the BEST! He was very knowledgable and super friendly and really made the entire experience fantastic. He got us to all our destinations on time while providing great commentary about the sites and history of each area. We also had tour of distilleries and castles with specific guides for those sites, who were great. Any castle or site we visited without a specific guide, Keith was ready to tell us all about it. I would highly recommend Keith, we was hilarious and always ready with a story. He went above and beyond to make sure our trip was a premium experience. We had great weather too which made this a once in a lifetime magical trip. Thank you Stravaigin!

Where to begin? I'll start with our driver, Keith. He was highly sociable and interactive, smart, and fun. He showed up in one of Travaigin's well-kept vans right on time and full of cheer and smiles. From the go we engaged with him in naturally flowing conversation about the history of the areas through which we drove. He seemed to know Scotland like the back of his hand and made several excellent recommendations of things to see. He took us to the site of the Battle of Cullodin and walked the area with us, sharing historical information that greatly enriched our experience. We have ancestors who fought in that battle, and Keith loved that fact and walked us through the battlefield explaining everything he could about it. We were deeply impressed with his knowledge. He was effortlessly kind, helpful, relatable, and accommodating--so much so that as we eventually said goodbye, we told him he had become an integral part of our trip. Where many companies will simply have drivers who drive, Travaigin put someone with us who cared very much about making our experience as positive as possible. Keith was, frankly, more of a *host* for our trip and there is no question at all that he had a huge impact on the quality of our time in Scotland. What could have been a long drive with some oohs and ahhs and a few fingers pointing out of the van at various points became a kind of customized, living 3-D experience that all along the way was beautiful, pleasing, rich with history, and something more than memorable. Five stars all around for Keith and for Travaigin. No question!
