About
Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow is home to more than 450 years of brewing tradition and award winning beers. Our new tour takes you behind the scenes to discover how we make Tennent's so special. We've been part of Scotland and its culture for generations. This is a chance to learn about the rich heritage of one of the country's most loved brands as well as about the production processes that have taken place at Wellpark from through the centuries up to today. Follow us from the very origins of brewing at Wellpark, to present day support of and passion for Scottish music and football. As well as a rare collection of vintage and retro Tennent's packaging, there's a chance to watch your favourite Tennent's adverts from over the decades and also a shop to buy exclusive Tennent's goodies... And to top it all off, there might even be a cheeky wee taste of Scotland's Favourite at the end of the tour in it for you. Tasty.

Best brewery tour ever
Apr 2020 • Couples
me and my boyfriend went on this tour and it was amazing, we have done Guinness and Heineken tour but nothing matches up to this, you actually get to access all areas to the brewery. Tony was absolutely amazing and such a character and the best tour guide we could’ve asked for. 100% recommended. it’s also such good value for money considering you get a pint at the end.

Tennents tour
Mar 2020 • Couples
Our Wellpark Brewery tour was cut short due to the corona virus but we got the extra tasting free. Result!
The tour guide explained the history of the lager and showed us through the experience, answering any questions he was asked easily. The tour finished in the bar, for a pint of the golden liquid hic!!!!! This was the best bit tbh. The shop has many tennents gifts at a reasonable price.
But the tour is well worth it if you are a lager drinker.

Waste of time

Perhaps it’s because we did the 6pm tour but if you know a bit about brewing you won’t learn any more than you knew already- and if you know nothing you won’t learn much either !This is just mass scale production as part of an industrial process ! Got the impression our tour guide had a script that he was sticking to whatever so questions weren’t really answered either. Save your time and cash and find a small local brewery that does tours - a lot do !

Okay overall but a bit rushed
Mar 2020
I did the tour as a last minute thing, I happened to walk in and get onto the next tour. The tour felt like it ran for about 45 minutes. To be honest you really do not get to see much of what is happening.

The tour guide was knowledgeable however tried to keep telling jokes that were not funny. It kinda put a sour note on the tour.

There are a lot of stairs involved, so if you cannot do stairs then this is not the thing for you.

If you have time, and have never seen a brewery or factory then it is a good thing to do. The unpasteurised beer at the end was nice.

Glasgow must do - Ask for Tony!
Mar 2020 • Couples
Really enjoyed the tour with Tony - would 100% recommend, he was very informative and made the tour entertaining.
Quite a new attraction in Glasgow but very impressed with the set up. The bar is open to the public and definitely will be recommending this as a must see/drink.

Tennent's brewery tour
To be honest I expected a bit more, the tour was a bit on the bland side it felt like someone is doing us a favour by showing us the brewery, on one of the stops on the tour it was crazy hot and noisy to the point that you could not hear what the guide was saying. Not impressed, we could have skipped this one.

Great tour, great guide and great pint!
Jan 2020
I bought the tour as a Christmas present for my husband. We decided to book and use our voucher in the January. We found the entrance no problem and had such a warm welcome from staff. You enter via the shop which I was really impressed with, as it part museum part shop.

Tony was our Tour Guide and he was just brilliant; full of energy and showed passion for Tennents. He really brought the tour alive, learning so much along the way. He made the tour so much fun while keeping us safe by following health and safety. So much so I opted for a pink novelty base ball hat, yes it's up-selling, but I didn't care, I liked it. and protected my head at the same time. It's also a nice memento of the day and I was glad to avoid the sexy blue hair nets as the alternatives.

He was clear, explaining the process well and even let us try some of the barley. He took us on a journey from the ingredients, machinery to the bottling and the more important, for Scotland, in the can.

The time just flew in and it was just in time for our beer flight. Tony poured the perfect pint and talked us through the various beers for our flight in the premises own bar. The bar is also open to the public, which I hadn't realised. You'll definitely be guaranteed a perfect pint every time.

I highly recommend this tour and Tony was just an excellent host and overall guide. Well done! I'm sure we will be back soon to pop into the shop and bar again, as we enjoyed the atmosphere very much.
