Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What on earth has happened to the choir at this beautiful Cathedral? Haven't been there since Christmas last year where the experience was heavenly and the choir were angelic, but yesterday's 12 o'clock Mass was like attending a rock concert with guitars and drums and screaming singers. Dreadful. Not what we expected at a high mass in a cathedral at all. Would not recommend.

The cathedral is stunning and the architecture is breathtaking. My husband and I wanted to stay for mass but wish we hadn’t. The music was the worst I’ve heard in any church. No wonder the priest looked and sounded utterly miserable

this place is so beautiful. From the floor to the ceiling. You will be left with an undeniable feeling of wonder as you look at how amazing and beautifully this building was constructed

Couldnt go in due to some function. It seems interesting from outside. It is bigger than it seems - you need to go to the necropolis behind it to really see its size.

We went to Morning Worship with a good choir. Friendly welcome from the volunteers and a lovely service. The nave is very impressive and the stained glass on the north wall is interesting including a very nice modern window. You can see the mason's marks on the columns in the choir.

The Cathedral is located on Clyde St on the banks of the river and was renovated a number of years ago . it's beautiful inside-great use of natural light and stonework to create a very calming & peaceful atmosphere . The stained glass windows are beautiful. It's an oasis of calm so close to the city centre .
The cathedral is open to visitors every day with mass celebrated daily at 1 PM and at 10 AM and 12 Noon on Sundays but check the website for other services as well. The Cathedral choir sing at the 12 Noon mass on Sunday-stunning choral singing .
Services from the Cathedral are also live streamed via their webcam .

A magnificent Cathedral. It oozes awe, wonder and mystery. A great religious venue for personal reflection and to take time away from the bustle of life.

Our grandsons Christening and a lovelier venue would be hard to find, the Cathedral was cleaned and redecorated about 12 yrs ago and it looks so fresh and clean and we found out it was due to smokeless candles! Some of the pillars we were informed were made of fibre glass and replaced the originals and apart from tapping them I defy anyone to spot the difference.
Beautiful stain glass windows allow a stunning light into the building and for a Cathedral originally constructed about 800 yrs ago it is quite stunning nestling on the north Bank of the Clyde and is a short walk from Argyle Street Station.

Nice little cathedral by the river. After seeing so many cathedrals and churches in Scotland, this is another beautiful one. It is a little small in comparison though.

Definitely worth a look. Impressive 800yo building with a rich history. Lovely stained glass, and plays a central role in early Glasgow history.
