Taken to this hidden gem - 3rd floor of the building - by a locally based supplier.

Great ambience, very attentive and professional staff and the finest Fillet of Beef I have had the pleasure to sample.

Even though I wasn’t paying I did notice that the prices were more than reasonable as well.

Had lunch here a couple of times, always great. First class food, piping hot, and served in a really relaxing atmosphere. Great deal 2 courses plus glass of wine £15.95. Def recommend. Going again on Saturday, not to be missed

the building was closed when we were there, but we did get some pictures from the outside which was enough for me. I will be back to get inside pictures one day

The architecture in glasgow is interesting, ideal place to visit, with hundreds of facinating buildings, including churches, and venues of entertainment

the church was built with money from the hugely wealthy slave traders so they could worship among their own class. this is a beautiful church to visit. the mahogany wood you can see around its upstairs is the original brought over from America in slave ships. its of superior quality and looks new to this day. the decor is decadant throughout and you can see the money spent on its creation. there is someone there to give you information of its history. the tobacco lords also built most of the prestigious buildings in glasgow.

I wouldn’t recommend this venue for a work event- dinner was mediocre at best- completely over priced for the quality served. Didn’t tell us when hiring that they cannot except cards which lead to a lot of cold walks to the cash machine for individuals. Not enough hanging space for coats. Beautiful room which was not well presented- waste of a lovely space.

'St Andrew's in the Square', one of the finest early 18th century church buildings in the U.K was restored to its 'Georgian Greatness' and re-opened in 2000.
Now as Glasgow's Centre for Scottish Culture , it hosts weddings, dances and many other events . It also welcomes visitors like us. Easy to find as only ten minutes walk from the People's Palace or Argyle St/Trongate. The imposing exterior dominates the Square and no wonder.
It's open daily but on Tuesday mornings from 11.30, expert volunteer guides will show you round or you can do it yourself with their great 'wee' leaflet.
Lots to admire : The original colour scheme and gold leaf. Vaulted ceiling and mahogany balcony. Fell in love with the wall clock and huge, original stained glass.
Afterwards, go down to Cafe Source in the basement . A popular eatery with a great menu and great coffee. Interior design downstairs is as eye catching as the restoration above.
Thanks to the volunteers who brought out the ' sunshine' on a very rainy Tuesday.
