About
Welcome to The East Renfrewshire Golf Club. Located on the southside of Glasgow, just fifteen minutes from the city centre at Junction 5 of the M77, we are conveniently located both for members and visitors. The course was designed by James Braid and is one of the best examples of his work in the UK and Ireland. It is today recognised as one of the finest moorland courses in Scotland. With its rolling fairways, loch and burns, and spectacular views over Glasgow and beyond, the course is stunning and a fair test for golfers of all abilities. Attended with a group of friends for a pre Christmas meal. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced.Staff are really friendly and helpful.

I played the course about a month ago on a Tuesday night teeing off at 5pm playing in a 4 ball. The course is absolutely brilliant and worth playing if you havent already. It is a mixture of shorter and longer holes and quirky hole designs at times.

Beautiful moorland/heathland course, reminiscent of Gleneagles.Cracker of a course, quite tough.Nice clubhouse and fine views on a clear day to the southern Highlands.

Played the course on Thursday afternoon and what a course it was
From arriving we were greeted by the cheery professional in the pro shop who set us on our way
Although very challenging at times we had a great time,course was in really good condition although we thought the greens were rather slow
Quite hilly in places though that's where the buggy came in handy
Pritty sure my putt on 18 will be seen on sky sports at some point
Round complete we headed to the club house for some food
Cheery bar staff took our food order
The food was top notch and thourghly enjoyable at a very fair price
All in all a great day out on a great golf course would most certainly play this course again

excellent course in very good condition. Exciting holes which need to be thought about. Don't just hit the ball think about the next shot. very up and down and some significant climbing. stunning location but not cheap.

Yes the course has a great layout and certainly offers a unique golfing experience in relation to other courses in the area, but easy to see why we are ranked as the best golf course in the Renfrewshire area.

Played here for the first time and despite the time of year the course was in excellent shape. Every hole is different and a couple of long Par 3s offer a decent test. The course itself was a little wet underfoot but that was too be expected and the greens ran well. Would recommend this course to all range of golfers and with some smashing views over Glasgow it's well worth a visit.

We played East Renfrewshire last week - whilst course was rather wet, this didn't detract from our enjoyment of what is one of the most stunning scenic golf courses in the UK - a hidden gem in this respect.
The course is not particularly long but is eminently playable & a fun challenge for golfers of all abilities. Definitely worth playing if on a golf trip to the area.

First of all thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We welcome all feedback, good or bad, as it is a great way of our visitors letting us know what they think of the course.
We were glad you had an enjoyable round at East Ren and yes unfortunately with the weather we receive in Scotland it can be a little wet but usually our fairways are very good at drying out quickly so it does not hamper a great golfing experience for our visitors.

I visited on 6th August with 2 others. At £30 per head, this was very poor value for money. Despite just a fine drizzle, the fairways were sodden and there were puddles on almost every green. It has not been that wet recently. I am a bit disappointed that such a hefty green fee was charged knowing the conditions were as bad as they were. Nice enough course that would look better with a bit of sunshine.

Playing golf and visiting Glasgow? Don't miss a wonderful course set in the most beautiful of surroundings. It is superbly kept and offers fabulous scenery. It is also quite challenging.
