Popped in before a gig at O2 and loved the beer and the atmosphere. Used to pass the Laurieston every day on bus & never really thought to go for a drink there but if you are looking for a delicious pint in an authentic Glasgow pub, of which there are fewer and fewer, the Laurieston is perfect. Just the... More

Been a customer of the Laurieston bar for a number of years and you won't find friendlier bar staff anywhere else in Glasgow. Well worth a visit.

Would highly recommend this pub to anyone, especially those that want to experience a bit of Glasgow. The place has a great and relaxed atmosphere and a wide variety of drinks. The staff are very friendly and there is always good banter going around.

Changing buses at Bridge Street while returning from match at Ibrox. Desperate for pee while waiting for bus and decided to go in here, 1st visit and decided to buy a pint in consideration. Couldn't get attention at bar, so no pint, had my pee and left. Bar might be worth another visit for curiosity as it looked like it... More

From the outside it looks like a 1960's working mens club but inside it is an absolute delight, in its way stopped in time for all the best possible reasons. As soon as you walk in there is a friendly greeting and you can feel a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. It is such a relief from the dull soulless chain pubs... More

The Laurieston is the granddaddy of Glasgow pubs. An institution and a unique and untouchable gem of Glasgow. What a place! On the outside it could be mistaken for a typical council estate drinking den. This pub is similar to the Star Bar in some ways. Both places exude legendary Glaswegian warmth and are as authentic as pubs get. Yet... More

I'm a CAMRA member who has visited thousands of pubs in the last 20 years. In all that time I have never come across anything quite like this pub. It's perfectly persevered 1960s interior is without equal and it is worth the trip to Glasgow just to see. What really sets this bar apart though is the family who run... More

Just visit you wont be disappointed. I have drank in this bar several times over the years, it's family run, friendly and most importantly authentic.

A wonderful no-frills pub just outside Glasgow city centre. Very welcoming. What makes it for me is the 2 or 3 real ales on tap (from Loch Fyne). You wouldn't have got a pit of cask beer for love nor money in a place like this anytime between 1965 and 2010. Superb.
