Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

i had been to king tuts twice before and the third time I went me and my friends were denied access. I feel the venue itself isn't big enough for the amount of people they let in so crowds end up being too cramped. However I didn't question when thinking about going to jaws. I went to go in with my ticket that I had bought in advanced and the staff at the door denied me and my 2 friends access. I am very disappointed in the staffs poor judgement, I will not be revisiting king tuts in the future.

Excellent small venue for up and coming bands. Awesome sound and lighting. The staff were extremely friendly and would go the extra mile to accommodate you, they even provided disabled seating with a good view of the gig. A great range of drinks and reasonably priced, I would recommend this for a great night out and for bands to play in. Thanks for the great atmosphere on my birthday!

Attended for a concert, sold out, the venue was ridiculously overcrowded, it was awkward and very uncomfortable. Due to the room with the stage being filled, i essentially paid hard earned cash to watch a concert on a tiny screen above the bar. I'd have had a better experience watching clips on YouTube. Will not be returning to this venue.

An intimate place for a gig.....as I discovered on visiting for the first time! A bar and restaurant downstairs and the stage and another bar upstairs. Perfect for anyone who wants less of a crowd and more of the act you've come to see! Sometimes a small venue can be too hot and sweaty but they have great aircon! What impressed me most of all was the friendliness and willingness to help of the staff. We had two friends in our party who needed assistance and they got it! Nothing was too much of a problem. I will single out Jack (a girl!) and Keith a doorman for special thanks! Would definitely go again!

It's been a few ( cough!) Years since I've been to a gig at King Tuts. Was there with my teenage daughter last night and this venue has still got it! Great vibe, lovely staff. Great selection of up and coming gigs. Half Alive and APRE were amazing! If your in glasgow it's a must....

Never been here before.Kicking myself for not going sooner.I always assumed it would be a bit too cool for school and hipsterish.Never has anyone been so wrong. The bar on entering was warm and very welcoming. Great selection of beers, draft and bottles. Staff all very friendly and efficient.Great feel to the place, lots of music posters ,had a real relaxed buzz to it.
Upstairs the venue itself was fab. All black like a good old fashioned cellar bar.Again a well stocked bar with cheerful hard working staff. My wife who isn't very good on her pins these days was treated like a queen, best seats in the house.Really was well looked after. Tom Robinson was at his majestic best as were all the band. We got a set to die for. Acoustics are perfect. Post gig was great too. No rush to get the punters out. Had time for a couple of nightcaps by which time my sixtieth birthday had arrived. Can't speak too highly of the staff.
Great gig venue but also a top place just to drop into for a pint and plenty of food to be had too, although ther is no pressure put on you to by food, unlike someother places. Will definitely go here again.

This was probably one of the best "dive" live music bars we have been to in a while. Everything about the place is gritty and loaded with history. We saw 3 acts perform and each one was truly amazing. One act - Strawberry Wine - was so young and so talented that they are sure to become a worldwide sensation.

The stage and standing space is small and intimate, the drinks are cheap, and the crowd is fully into the music throughout the entire show. Just an awesome experience.

We stopped by the lower bar after the show was over to continue drinking and met a whole bunch of really awesome Glaswegians to continue on partying with. This city is really full of amazing people. Special thanks to our new friends for showing us such a great time and such amazing hospitality.

If you are into live music, don't mind sticky floors, and don't really care what flows from the tap, then this is definitely a place you will want to visit.

I came to see Spector on Sunday night and asked for accessible seating as I have Parkinson’s disease
The staff were amazing, had an escort to a seat and nothing was too much trouble

SKing Tut's is a small, cosy, friendly venue with a lovely atmosphere. Polite, helpful staff are always visible if needed. The bands we have seen have all been good.
