Such a shame this amazing place is now closed, the cakes were divine and the views were also as good. Glad we got to visit it several times before it closed

VERY VERY sorry to hear that this wonderful venue has had to give in to the vagaries of age . Spent many holiday visits in both Jack Drake , then The Potting Shed. Guys - please have a VERY happy retirement, and THANK YOU again . You were superb .

I am so glad that I didn't pay any attention to the innacurate negative review and concentrated on the constructive positive reviews. We have never had the pleasure of such exquisite cake, the staff were extremely attentive and helpful, there was a wee sitting area where we could watch the squirrels and birds eating seeds and nuts. Parking was good, plants looked a wee bit out of season, but we weren't there for plants, we were there for cake and coffee, and were definitely not disappointed. Keep up the good work Inshriach.

This is a very popular place and serves handmade continental delicious exquisite gateaux. It is likely to be busy, however , it is all worth the wait. There is a perched seating area which overlooks squirrel and bird feeders. The laid out gardens are beautiful and there are so many alpine plants to buy. In Spring 2018, they will be having a Booking System , as it is such a popular destination. All the cakes are handmade. ..... can I rave any more about the cakes !

Amazing cakes to cater for all dietry requirements. Big portions too! Was very busy so couldn't quite get to the window to watch the squirrels and birds. I note they are only taking bookings when they reopen in March 2018. Would definitely visit again.
