Walked from aviemore Main Street to this loch . Was fortunate with the weather as the sun was out with little wind. The views are amazing and a variety of wildlife to be seen . Walked around 8 miles . Will visit again .

Good sized car park with an attendant to collect parking charge- reasonable charge per occupant. Well worth the nominal charge. Allow at least 90min. for a leisurely walk around the loch

Lovely scenery. Peaceful. Narrow single track roads to get there. Car parking is chargeable, certainly in busy season. Male, female, and disabled toilets adjacent to the Visitor Centre. Takes around an hour to walk right around the loch but it is more or less flat...More

One of the many stunning lochs in Scotland. See one, see them all you won't be disappointed. If you can't get up into the highlands then stopping at the Cairngorms near Aviemore is a great way to get a taste.More

Thank you for sharing this review, I'm really pleased you enjoyed your visit - a perfect place for dilly dallying. Not sure its four miles round the main loch more like just over three miles (5k). Hope you can return.

Recommended walk from the main visitors centre at Rothiemurcus. It takes about 30mins to get down there and then about an hour to walk around the loch. Stunning loch and a lovely walk. Have a refreshment stop in The Druie at the visitors centre afterwards.More
