We wanted to get from Inverness to Scrabster (to take the ferry to Orkney) and we got the great suggestion to hire a car. Our driver was right on time and very competent and friendly. The trip was smooth and went without a hitch. The scenery on the route was a definite plus.

10 out of 10.... This trip was incredible.
Rachid our driver was imformative, fun, and an all round gent.
His knowledge of the local area was incredible.
He took us to the exact places we wanted to see and many more we did not know about.

I used this taxi company to get from Thurso to Scrabster (for the ferry to Orkney) and back. Very friendly, given a commentary of local buildings on the way to Scrabster. We booked a taxi for when we returned and when we arrived on the ferry, the driver was there holding up an electronic board with my name on! All for just the normal taxi fare. We had a couple of hours wait for our train and the taxi driver let us store our luggage in the taxi office so we could have a look around the town before going for our train. Just great!

I'm travelling to Scotland in 8 days and downloaded the Highland Cabs app. I booked my transfer from the rail station to the ferry terminal and their app made it super easy and convenient. I really appreciate having that ability on an app. I look forward to see you folks on the 19th. Thanks for making the transfer easy!

Spent two days with Rachid touring the northeast and northwest of Scotland. Picked up promptly each day at our hotel in Thurso and driven expertly around the countryside. Rachid showed us the usual tourist spots in the area and took us to some places that I was not aware of even having researched the area ahead of time.
He certainly knows the area pointing our many houses and homes that he had worked in, did TV repair for or just knew the local owners. He had a great personality and my wife and I really enjoyed our time with him. This is definitely the #1 local tour and transportation company whether you are just looking for a ride to the ferry or a full day custom tour.
He and his partner also picked us up from the train station on time and delivered us to the ferry in good time.

He had a great personality and my wife and I really enjoyed our time with him. Asked for a taxi ride to Dunnet Head, got a fantastic guided tour by Rashid with side route through Castletown and the old part of Thurso, and fascinating facts about the history of the area and the wildlife. Happy to wait for an hour while we explored 'seabird city' at the cliffs. Highly recommended, well worth it.

We used the service to get us and our bikes from John O’Groats to the train station in Thurso. During the journey we learnt some amazing things about the local area and the bike rack meant that our bikes arrived safe and sound!
