The Thurso Cinema in Caithness, is the UK mainland's most northerly entertainment venue. It re-opened in July 2012 after a successful public campaign. The cinema has two screens - 152 and 88 seats a-piece. Customers can enjoy the latest Sony 4K digital projection,Dolby 7:1 sound technology and 3D. The Bar & Kitchen is now open.

So glad that we have this facility here.Staff are friendly,venue is clean and comfortable and the heating is fixed.Much better value than the big cinema in Inverness. We use it regularly. Get one of their Movie Magic cards for discounts and even 2 for 1...More

Small 2 screens showing up to date films and live theatre performances from larger venues. Makes us seem a little bit less remote. Also has a bar and restaurant so can have a simple meal before or after the show. Normally a good kids program...More

We have been to the cinema a few times on trips to Thurso - glad to see it open again. On our last visit we had a meal at the cinema which was lovely - good value for money and the staff helpful.

Went to see Andrè Rieu. It was fantastic, wonderful sound. Just a bit disappointing the rest of the audience didn't join in with the singing!

Been numerous times. Only has two screens but usually has 3-4 movies on a day at various times. Great little bar-restaurant attached with a pool table. All clean and modern as you'd expect from any cinema these days. Well priced as well. Nowhere near as...More

I took my grand daughter to see a good film. I was pleasantly suprised how comfy the seats were and reasonably priced. Despite being a great film on a wet Saturday afternoon there were only about a dozen people. I can't see Merlin keeping it...More
