We really enjoyed our Loch Ness cruise. We had to choose between the Loch Ness centre or the cruise because of timing, and we don’t regret choosing the cruise. The weather was cool, but we were happy to sit inside the boat and listen to the facts of Nessie sightings from past to present.
Coming round to Urquhart Castle was a treat and we got some excellent photos from the boat. We visited in December 2023 - and cruised from 14:00-15:00. This is an excellent time to enjoy a “sunset cruise” for this time of year.

It's a really great service. Well worth the price, as you would be hard pressed to find any other tours of the loch, let alone any good ones, and this one was quite serviceable. The ride was smooth, boarding and disembarking was easy. The boat offers good views from all angles and sides, both indoor and outdoor. The seats are comfortable. They sell hot drinks on board as well. I tried some tea. It was small for the price but it was good. The views of the loch and the castle are really great. There is a guide sort of figure who talks about the loch a little and makes some jokes as you glide across the waters. He was funny, and my only real complaint about the tour was that he didn't talk a bit more, but I'm sure some people would rather have quiet.

Great cruise. Luckily had a fantastic cold/crisp and clear day. The staff were all excellent with John providing great commentary with interesting facts.

Took bus from Inverness which was ideal but the return time did not match the bus times so rather than wait 2hours had to order a taxi from Inverness to collect us.

Took my parents and brother here on a whirlwind tour of Northern Scotland. Perfect lighting for beautiful "sunset" pictures on the 2pm cruise. The rays were hitting in all the right ways. Got so much closer to Urquhart Castle than we'd hoped. The tour guide was entertaining and the staff were delightful. Thanks for the chat Ranald!

Really an amazing experience, I recommend that everyone visit Inverness for the first time to book for at least 2 hrs. You can also have your own food to enjoy your lunch or breakfast inside the cruise. The value is not that high and worth it

It was well organized, the bus guide and the boat guide were nice and explain quite a lot.
Would have been nice to sail a little further and make the total tour to last 4 full hours.

This was my 6th trip and as always another amazing trip with Jacobite cruises
The views were fab and the staff as always made the trip really good

The mini rebellion tour is 3 hours and only goes to urqhart castle :) one hour to the castle, one hour there and one hour return. Good amount of time

The boat is very sturdy, we went in rather bitter windy weather and both my husband and children were fine! A very smooth ride , didn’t feel any choppy waters . Have a fabulous time!

hi im coming to Inverness 3rd week in August. I arrive in Inverness around 1 PM by car.
I'd like to do the Loch Ness boat tour, Urchart castle and Loch Ness exhibition center (all three sites, back to back), you say starting at 2PM.
Can you recommend how to do this in the afternoon? as we won't be there early enought for a morning tour as we will see cawdor castle at 10 AM, then come to Inverness after that.
Also where can we find parking?
Please supply a link with the specific tour for afternoon departure and comibines all three places.

Hi.we would be visiting Inverness in August with two kids 10 yrs old for a day trip.would have 6 hours for sightseeing.wanted to know if a one hour cruise or a two hour jacobite cruise(caledonian canals without visiting the castle....hope the kids dont get bored) would be a better option.what else is suggested in this short itinerary.

Maybe the one hour Loch cruise would suit the children. It can be boring and long for the children
