Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

My friend and I travelled to catch the jacobite boat cruise of the Loch Ness. We were running late but Captain K waited until we got aboard. He was very friendly and was able to answer any questions we asked. He also made sure that we would be able to get back at the end of the day by watching... More

The only thing that lets this tour down is the length of time at Urquhart Castle (not enough time). The tour starts with a short coach trip to the boat pier. Allan the guide is incredibly knowledgeable and very entertaining to listen to. The trip on the boat across Loch Ness is short but enjoyable. I recommend the Highland hot... More

Loch Ness was such a beautiful sight. As we took the river cruise, we really got to see the majesty of the loch with its surrounding nature. Moreover, those who hosted the tour were friendly people. Our driver most especially, Allen, was a very nice man who had so much to share about his home as he was driving us... More

My wife and I were part of a tour group that took a cruise on Loch Ness as part of a Rick Steves Tour. The Jacobite Cruise staff provided a comfortable, safe experience. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Safety was part of the preparation instructions.

This was the perfect half day tour of the Loch! The driver was knowledgeable and friendly. The cruise was fun, (albeit short), and the stop at the Urquhart was incredible. Highly, highly recommend this tour.

Our guide, Mike, was very helpful, told us a lot of interesting things, also tailored to our own interests. I would especially like to emphasize how much I appreciate it that the tour took place with only three guests! I had a great time and would highly recommend the tour

Booked the cruise online and because it was December there was plenty of parking. The gift shop is a nice place to visit with very nice and friendly staff. Go through the tunnel under the road and down to the harbour where you submit your booking to the person in the hut. As we had taken our friends children who... More

Our family of five with children aged 17, 14 & 9 went on the 1 hour cruise on Loch Ness. We had an seat inside near the window as it was a cold December day. Our kids enjoyed looking for Nessie although she didn't appear for us.

We took the X'mas special train between Fort William and Glenfinnan, the streamed train is lovely, however the ride was a bit boring as it was raining and the windows were too dirty so we hardly see outside, the stop at Glenfinnan only for 20-30 minutes so there's not enough time to walk around but to stay in the train,... Our family loved the tour. It was informative, well run, interesting, and a lot of fun. We were glad we did this tour because of the extra stop at the Loch Ness Centre. Our tour guide was great. There was just enough available for each part of the tour.
