Loved the Inverness Castle. The place was amazing and glad we went. The people in Scotland are so friendly, so it makes vacationing there even more wonderful! Highly recommend!

I hiked The Great Glen Way. And the monument marking the end of the walk is on the grounds of this facility. This is not an ancient castle, I think under two hundred years old. But gorgeous none the less!! And still in use today!

The castle is modern but a focal point in Inverness and the views are marvellous. Try to go on a day when it is not too windy.

We wandered up to the Castle Viewpoint as we were checking out the town. The castle was closed, but the balcony is open and lovely to check out the surrounding view. Best place to get pictures of the town.

Without going up the Tower at the Inverness Castle, you can get a great free view of the surrounding area from the Castle hill viewpoint. Beautiful view looking down at the River Ness. Great place to gather and meet people as well.

Walking for several days in the rain and wind getting to the end of the Great Glen away. A slog through Inverness streets and the last climb to the castle was the final straw. However, I loved it because it meant it was the end...More

They take visitors all day long. There isn’t much of a wait, even during tourist season. The castle isn’t very large compared to other castles in the country. Should be able to do all that you would like to do in under an... More
