Welcome to Outlander: The Past Lives Experience. Walk in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire and embark upon a wonderful journey; an Outlander Tour with a difference! Visit the filming locations around Edinburgh and Fife, then the book locations around Culloden and the Highlands. Travel ‘Over the Sea to Skye’, through the stunningly beautiful mountains of Glencoe and stand on the hill at Craigh na Dun. Enjoy all of this, and take a journey back through time to explore your own Past Lives too! Past life Regression is explained further in the tour itinerary. We include a visit to our Culloden home to see our 18th century antiques and a set of professional photographs of you at every location. We also offer a traditional Hand-fasting Ceremony (Tying the Knot) to couples who wish to renew their Wedding Vows whilst on tour - we include this free of charge. Your Guide wears the full Jacobite Kilt, as worn in the 1745 uprising. Awarded the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award in 2020 and 2023.

As a seasoned traveler, I can honestly say the Outlander: Past Lives Experience was one of the best seven days I’ve experienced in decades of trips. It was so much more than a “tour” due entirely to the knowledge, enthusiasm, warmth and meticulous attention to details, of the “hosts”, Di and Andy.
Outlander fans will appreciate the photos shared of filming in progress; readings of book excerpts while on site and genuine “insider” thoughts shared. We marveled at the extra “encounters” built into the itinerary that we would never have found on our own, including hairy coo petting, artisans opening their homes and shops, to our group. Our day having afternoon tea at Culloden House even included a Diana G. sighting (as she was in Inverness doing an event.)
Everything from driving narrow and windy roads, to ensuring we routinely had the locations to ourselves, we always felt safe, comfortable and astonished by the warmth and personalities of our guides.
For those “non Outlander” fans, the seven day experience will not disappoint, since your travels will include plenty of encounters with Scottish history; battle armament, whisky 🥃, and landscape vistas.
I know spots for Outlander: Past Lives Experience are highly in demand requiring a 1-2 year wait. However, your patience and commitment will be rewarded with a lifetime of memories, as it has for us.

The joy in your faces at the beauty of the locations was just wonderful to see - it really touched us. Thank you both for partaking so fully and for allowing the adventure to unfold over the seven days in the way we intend it to. We loved meeting you both and we sincerely hope you return to Scotland. This tour is a great way to see the beauty of Scotland's highlands and to see many Outlander filming and book locations. Andy and Di are amazing tour guides, their passion for Scotland is contagious and you feel that in the way they conduct their tour. They know so much about Scotland and relay that information in a very engaging way. They are very personable and will happily answer any questions you may have. The tour groups are a maximum of 6 which gives you plenty of face time with them. Another example of their personal touch is that they invited my tour group into their home for tea and to view their personal Scottish antique collections. They even gave us tea/coffee/water and Scottish shortbread cookies everyday on the tour and threw in a few surprises for my tour group. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Di and Andy do meticulous research on the history - both Outlander and actual history. They also strike a good balance in the itinerary between Outlander sites and the historical elements. There is plenty packed into each day, but you get enough space to chill out of an evening. They are extremely helpful but know where to draw the line. It's a small group, so you get plenty of opportunities to ask questions. We had a good set of travelling companions with the right attitude helped by how Di and Andy set the tone.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and note with interest that they are soon launching a 10 day historical tour - no Outlander elements but sounds like plenty of interesting Highland history

I toured with Andy and Di in May of 2022.. It was their first tour back since 2019 when Covid hit..they are a wonderful couple and they are very knowledgeable on everything Scotland..we had a wonderful tour..spent 7 days touring from morning till late afternoon..they explained everything we saw and all the history behind everything.. they made it so enjoyable and memories to last a lifetime..I would not hesitate to do it again..it was a small group their max is 6 and the traveling was very comfortable...if you are considering touring Outlander sites don't hesitate going on their tour..I give them 10 stars .It is an amazing tour...the best ever..

This was an amazing tour. Di and Andy bring to life so much history and are so knowledgeable and passionate about it!! We were able to visit some very unique places related to the show Outlander and how so much of it relates to real people, places and the history of the Jacobites time. Small group allows it to be very personal.

My Scotland trip was delayed for 2 years beause of Covid. I'm so glad for the delay because I found this amazing Outlander tour with Andy and Di. They are two of the greatest people I have ever been privileged to share a week with. Their knowledge of the history of Scotland is incredible. In addition they are well versed about my favorite show, Outlander and took us to many of the filming places. These took my breath away several times. I am an older traveler and their kindness to me was exceptional. I would highlly recommend this tour to anyone who is an Outlander fan and wants to visit and learn more about Scotland. You will also love Andy's true Scottish attired every single day. ( Does he wear it as a true Scotish kilt? You will have to ask Andy.)

Di and Andy, good morning from South Carolina. Hope this finds you in great spirits and enjoying life.
I cannot thank you enough for the excellent photos I received yesterday, and it stirred the many memories of our wonderful time with you. I’ve only downloaded our personal photos so far and have had time to view about half of them, and I’m anxious to see the rest. Andy, you have outdone yourself and I cannot even imagine the time, patience and efforts it takes to edit & compile those photos for us. I am truly grateful for you, your expertise and your eye for quality photography.
The memories and fun of this trip with you two and the other couples will live in my heart forever, making a positive & lasting impression. Keep doing what you’re doing because you have a winner in how you conduct your tour, care for your passengers, open your heart and soul for the love of your Scotland and Di, who could forget the “every chance I get” exposure of some delightful knee porn. 😗

Words escape me as I think about this review. If I could have given 10 stars I would! We visited Scotland for the first time and actually booked with Di & Andy about 18 months ago. Having followed them on social media and reading their blog, we knew there was no other choice. Even before we arrived we were made to feel so comfortable with what was in store. We came for the Outlander filming locations but we received so much more! The history of the highlands is rich and meaningful and we are truly grateful to have experienced it with Di & Andy. We traveled during our 20th wedding anniversary and had the pleasure of being hand fasted at their home which we will never forget! Traveling in a small group, we formed new friendships and made lifelong memories. I cannot recommend Outlander Past Lives highly enough!

We just ended our tour on 7/4/23 and it honestly exceeded every expectation I could have had. The time that is spent organizing every day of the tour is mind blowing and appreciated. They had me feeling like a fish out of water when we spent our last couple of days exploring on our own, they had us so spoiled those 7 days. 😂 The love Andy and Di have for Scotland just radiates in every way, and you aren’t just customers to them, you end up feeling like family. I walked away loving hot tea and shortbread cookies! Oh and don’t be nervous about going with group of strangers… I guarantee you will have an amazing time and forget you all just met that week! If you love Outlander, or want to learn about some amazing Scotland history I don’t think you will find another tour that could top this one! 💙

This experience was a trip of a lifetime! Di and Andy were so professional and so knowledgeable of not only “ Outlander” sites and knowledge but of Scotland and its history. We felt as though we experienced the historical events personally! Such a joy to be with them- it’s obvious they love what they do and lucky Scotland to have them!

Hi Christa, thanks for contacting us. It really depends on which tour you're booking.
If you're booking the Seven Day Outlander tour with 7 nights accommodation included, then you need to fly to Edinburgh. The tour begins and ends very near Edinburgh airport. We do travel to Inverness as part of the tour, but we don't start or finish the tour anywhere near Inverness.
If you're booking one of the One, Two or Three Day Tours from Inverness, then you'd need to fly to Inverness, as Edinburgh is a 160 mile journey from us.

Hi Leanne, many thanks for contacting us. Our One Day Tours operate from Inverness and we take you to Culloden Battlefield, Culloden House, the Standing Stones, Beauly Priory, Castle Leod (the seat of the Clan MacKenzie), and we also visit a Jacobite Mansion that belonged to the younger brother of the Chief of the Clan MacKenzie. The older brother got the castle, the younger brother got the mansion. We call it the 'real' Lallybroch, because it's a perfect example of how Lallybroch would have looked in the book location. However, if you're looking to visit the filming location for Lallybroch, then that is 150 miles south of Inverness and a 3 hour drive. We do include this on our Seven Day Outlander Tour when we visit lots of filming locations as well as all the book locations in the Highlands, but we don't offer the filming location of Lallybroch as a one day tour unfortunately. Being based in Inverness it would be a 300 mile round trip for us. Yes, our tours run in Winter, though not the Seven Day Tour as most of the filming locations close through Winter. However, the book locations remain open throughout Winter, so Inverness based Outlander Tours are on offer all year. If you have a look on our website, the itineraries are all listed. Do you offer single day tours? Will only be staying in Inverness for one full day. Wanted to visit the Culloden Battlefield for sure.

Hi. Yes, indeed we do.
We have scheduled one-day Outlander Tours which you can book individual seats on. These start on the 1st April and run weekly from may through to mid-October. This tour includes a visit to Culloden Battlefield. More details and online booking are available on our Outlander Past Lives website.
We also offer three different one-day Outlander tours which you can book privately for a group of up to six people - again details are on our website.
We look forward to the possibility of taking you on tour with us.
