Overview
Take a walk with Cath, a local to the area, and an experienced and qualified tourist guide around her beautiful city of Inverness. A Walk Inverness tour contains lots of local history, beautiful scenery, architecture, and romantic (yet sometimes bloody) tales which have over time, shaped Inverness into the thriving city that stands today.

In the true spirit of Outlander, find out more about the short but final confrontation of the Jacobite Rising, The Battle of Culloden in 1746, in which the fate of between 1500 Jacobites was sealed by a poor decision and a hostile terrain. Cath will fascinate you with references to Outlander along with life in 18th century Inverness right up to the present day. Sharing stories of clan history, folklore and legends. Step even further back in time to 565 AD and learn about St Columba’s visit to the Highlands.

Thanks Cath for a great tour. I thoroughly enjoyed it and your knowledge of your lovely town (because we know it isn't a city) 😄😄 is second to none. Your advice about Chanonry Point was great and I managed to see the dolphins the next day. And on Friday, I popped into MacGregor's Bar to get a bite to eat and ended up staying for the "Live at Five" live stream. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to find out about Inverness . Cath is a fountain of knowledge Thanks again Cath 😄

Cath was amazing! She was a lovely tour guide, very informative and lively. She kept us all laughing and listening throughout. She gave us some great recommendations of place to go, do, see, and eat. So far all of the ones we have been to have been brilliant. A good representation of how friendly and welcoming Inverness people are. I would definitely recommend booking with Cath's tour, and follow her on tik tok!

We really enjoyed our tour today - Cath was very friendly and informative, and made the history of Inverness come alive with all her fascinating snippets of information. She is obviously a passionate historian as well as a great advocate for the city. We saw parts that we would have never found under our own steam. It helped too that we had glorious weather! Excellent value for money, and thoroughly recommended.

Thanks for taking the time to give me a great review. I'm always delighted to show people around my city. The River Ness is teeming with wildlife at the moment and we have been lucky to see seals and the otters lately. I'm always sharing sightings on my social media. Keep safe and well, Cath

We had a very warm welcome for our private walking tour with just the three of us adults. We thoroughly enjoyed Cath's insights into this beautiful city. The tour had a balanced mix of nature, history, & present day information. Cath seems to know the city inside & out. I was impressed with her knowledge. Highly recommend this tour!

Thanks, Elisabeth for your lovely review. It was great to meet you all. The good weather has brought out our wildlife with seals and otters spotted in the River Ness. The only problem is I can't get a good photo! I'll put any photos I do get on my social media to share with everyone. Keep safe and well, Cath

Thank you Phil for taking the time to give me such a great review. Inverness has changed since you left! There is now more building work going on at Inverness Castle. Come back in 2026 and see what they got up to. I'll be posting on social media if you want to keep up with the changes. Keep safe and well, Cath
