A very interactive museum with lots to see and do. The museum gave a historical overview of the life and culture of the Highlanders going back hundreds and hundreds of years. It is worth the visit and learning about the town of Inverness.

As a family we love visiting our local museum especially when it's always free to visit. The staff are fabulous as is the wonderful cafe. There are plenty of things for children to see and do and the museum quite frequently hosts events.

This wee museum is very interesting and easily completed in a couple of hours or less. The entrance level offers natural and ancient history (as well as how to pronounce Gaelic phrases), plus Pictish stones and medieval board games, and upstairs showcases a lot of...More
