This was a book lovers dream. There were so many books, it's hard to figure out where to start so we just started by the front door and worked our way around (that was the mystery section first which is my favorite). The atmostphere was wonderful and I wished there were room for a few chairs so I could rest while taking it all in. I'm sure they don't want to have a cafe in there but I would have stayed longer and purchased many more books if there had been one. This is a must visit while in or around Inverness.

If you have any interest in books, or charming buildings, would recommend popping in for a browse and to take the space in. A wealth of books - feels like a library that could rival any great library found in any book!

I think I just found where books from the library of the Unseen University or Hogwart's go on holiday. A bookshop that all other secondhand bookshops could aspire to.

Very nice to look at with a nice atmosphere but would find it difficult to recommend this to fiction fans, much more of a non-fiction bookshop.

I've been visiting Leakeys for years and before they even moved into their stunning old church. I've also bought many books from them but on the advent of the Internet, not so much. Quite simply their prices are well above what you can get them online. Great for a browse but check each book against ebay etc before handing over your cash !

Excellent and amazingly wide stock. Prices are not the cheapest for second hand books but then there are high quality books here. Too many books to take in honestly! Definitely worth a browse.

I thought the prices were fair, but I was very confused by the order in the shelves and gave up. Maybe I just don't understand how it is organised.

This is certainly one of the best bookshops in the country. Situate in the old town area it is a must visit venue whilst in Inverness.Beautiful layout and decor. The number and quality of books superb. You can spend days browsing the various shelved areas arranged by subject. It's got the ambience of a library. Make this one of the places you visit whilst in Inverness. Not to be missed.

An olde worlde haven for book lovers looking for something different. There are shelves upon shelves of books arranged in topical/ alphabetical order. It feels like you have stepped back in time.
The books are moderately priced and no doubt you would find cheaper in a charity shop but part of the fun here is the surroundings and I’m sure there are some unique finds to be had.
