Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having driven over this bridge in both directions several times I decided to walk it. The footpath/cycle path is wide enough to pass others. It offers an incredibly beautiful view right down the beauly firth and the other side shows the moray firth. The bridge allows a quicker route to the north as it’s a direct trunk across the firths and Black Isle. You seen the bridge as you come down the hill from Daviot (A9) and also as you come from (Alturlie) A96. This bridge reminds me I’m almost home so it gives me great pride seeing it. There is a footpath/cycle path on both sides of the bridge, I’ve found the southbound side to be quieter. The photos added are either of the bridge or from on the bridge.

The Kessock Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Beauly Firth and trust me it doesn't disappoint!

Designed by German engineer Hellmut Homberg, the bridge has a total length of 1,056 metres (3,465 ft) and spans 240 glorious metres (787 ft).

In 2019, the bridge was awarded a Category B status by Historic Environment Scotland... For me though, its an A everyday.

Must visit for anyone in Inverness, love it!

This iconic, 1056 metre long , cable-stayed steel bridge , crosses over the Beauly Firth between Inverness and the village of North Kessock on the Black Isle, and carries the A9 dual-carriageway. It was designed by German engineer Hellmut Homberg , and took 6 years to build , being officially opened in August 1982 by the Queen Mother. It was the first bridge in Europe to have seismic buffers incorporated, to help protect it from any seismic consequences of possible tectonic activity from the Great Glen fault line.
The views whilst crossing over the Firth are very scenic, and it’s worthwhile stopping at the pretty village of North Kessock for a stroll, and to look back on the bridge and glorious highland vistas.

The views from this bridge are absolutely stunning but the bridge itself isn't anything to talk about. Its very practical and does what it's meant too.

Large 70's concrete structure linking Kessock to the mainland. Not sure it would pass current planning due to it's ugliness but back in the 70's anything seems to have been allowed to be built.

We have driven across the Kessock Bridge on several occasions and it carries the A9 trunk road across the Beauly Firth at Inverness. From the bridge you get great views not only of the Firth but also towards Inverness itself.

This bridge links South Kessock to North Kessock. Travelling south, you have a very good view overlooking the city Inverness. Heading north, uphill, over this graceful bridge towards the Highlands, you have the Black Isle on your right hand-side. Below, the Beauly Firth and the Moray Firth.
