Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First off the target shooting is great fun and as we went as a group from work there was a great competitive element between departments. However you mustn’t miss the bunker tour, the history of the site is incredibly interesting and told with such enthusiasm that you can’t help but be totally caught up in the story telling. We had the short tour that accompanied the corporate shooting session and enjoyed it so much that myself and several colleagues plan to go back for the whole tour, it was that good.

Had a great time with Maria and Ian at the Bunker. We had no experience in this form of shooting and the coaching and equipment was brilliant. Computerised feedback gives you instant scores on not only where you the hit the target but also how you are handing the gun etc. After some coaching we had a fun competition and both Maria and Ian were in no hurry for us to go but we’re generous with their time and knowledge. An impromptu brief tour of the bunker added a great finish. Ian’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the history and science behind the role it played during world war 2 as an RAF filter base feeding radar info to fighter command was interesting and informative. Definitely worth a visit

I know the owner of this place, so watch the review!
I took a few friends along for a session. Indoors, warm and comfortable - especially in the winter. Maria was our coach for the afternoon. Within an hour she had the group safety checked with the electronic aiming aids - noptel, scatt and mantis. And all of the group got 'live' shooting on pistols and rifles.

The group was very happy with the safety lecture and the quality of the instruction.

I would recommend it for anyone of any age. The experienced shooters had a whale of a time trying out pistol on turning targets. 10 out of 10.

Ear plus, safety glasses and all kit provided.

I am an absolute beginner having only shot clay pigeon shooting once before. We asked for a beginner session and it was an absolute blast, really fun and educational.

John and Maria gave us a simple taster session which included all gun safety, an explanation of how the high tech targeting systems they have work and a chance to use multiple loanee pistols and rifles to get an idea of what they felt like to shoot.

They are both top coaches, kind and interested in making you shoot better, even if you are only giving it a try as a one off. I'm not going to say I'm a good shot but they weren't frightened of having to get the polyfilla out once the lead was flying and luckily I don't think anyone in our party missed that badly so it wasn't an issue.

My advice would be that if you are interested in having a go, contact them. They are very accommodating.

And all the above is without mentioning the fact that the range is located within a nuclear bunker which is worth a visit for that alone.

Hopefully we'll be back soon for more practice and a big thank you to the Malone's for having us.

What a superb experience this was. Fantastic facilities and super helpful and highly skilled staff.
My only downside was discovering that I am, in fact, not John Wick. ;-)
Highly recommended.

I chose Target Technique for my daughters birthday party as it made for an unforgettable experience for her and her 2 friends! And they did not disappoint!
The 2 coaches were very knowledgeable and made sure the kids were very safe at all times whilst having so much fun! Not only was it a new and exciting sport for them to try but the location itself was extremely cool! On arrival they were met with a tank in the car park and the surprises just kept coming as they took the stairs down to a bunker!
Would highly recommend to anyone seeking something new and a little different from your mainstream activities.
Thanks for having us Target Technique, can’t wait to come back!
