Lawrence and Billy are the best tour guides. They planned a 4-day trip for us from Edinburgh through the Isle of Skye, Inverness and back to Edinburgh. When we told them our family history they added sites. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again on my next trip to Scotland.

Always wanted to do a speyside whisky tour, and so Organised this with Highlander private tours with Lawrence as our guide..
Had an amazing day. Special thanks to Lawrence for getting us into the incredible Macallan distillery on the day as this was not part of the original tour

Thanks to Lawrence for an amazing Tour of some of the distilleries of the speyside region. My personal highlights were the beautiful and relaxing lounge of the glenfiddich distillery where we enjoyed lovely service from the staff, and the truly incredible Macallan distillery, which can only be described as a whisky wonderland (hence the title)./ Thanks again Lawrence...until next time

Thanks to Lawrence for sorting a fantastic trip to visit Speyside distilleries. Some fabulous drams were sampled. A great 5 dram tasting at Aberlour starting with a trial of their 70% Abv new make, then getting to try some distillery only 11 yo 50% bottlings - one bourbon, one sherry cask, as well as some others. The visit to Glenallachie was a highlight. Fantastic sherry cask drams and a treat to find a range at cask strength too. Afterwards Lawrence took us for dinner in The Highlander pub in Craigellichie - a Mecca for whisky lovers - for some traditional Scottish fare. A wonderful trip!

Hi Gordon , Thank you for your lovely review , the 5 drams at Aberlour are excellent value and Glenallachie is a super distillery with excellent whisky and your description of The Highlander Bar is very accurate , it is indeed a Mecca for whisky lovers.

Lawrence and Billy were great tour guides! My husband and I spent four days with them and saw some beautiful sights in Inverness, Isle of Skye, northern Highlands and more! They have great knowledge of the history and present day happening of the whole area. You’ll get the best tour in Scotland from these gentlemen!!

Billy was the ultimate professional and gentleman, and he made our day with him in Scotland the highlight of our trip to the British Isles. His personal knowledge of the area made our experience so much more intimate than a generic coach tour. At the end of the day, we felt like we had gotten a private tour from a family member. If we ever get the chance to return to Scotland, we will definitely use Highlander Private Tours again!

Inverness was a stop on our 10-day cruise of the British Isles. We were initially dissapointed when all the cruise-sponsored shore excursions were booked, but this tour ended up being so much better. Our guide, Billie Maclean, was the ultimate professional and gentleman, and he made our day with him in the Scottish Highlands the highlight of our trip. His personal knowledge of the area made our experience so much more intimate than a generic coach tour. At the end of the day, we felt as if a family member had given us a private tour of their area. If we ever get the chance to return to Scotland, we will definitely use Highlander Private Tours again! Five stars!

Our tour guide, BillieMaclean, was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond in all ways. Friendly and courteous. Very informative and certainly shows how much he loves doing the tours. I felt like he was a friend after we finished. Such a wonderful guy!!!

We did two days with Billy and it was absolutely wonderful, the Skye trip and the Loch Ness. Billy was so knowledgeable, kind, and just plain fun. My husband wasn’t well and he even found us pharmacist to help. By the end of your tours you’ll hate to say goodbye, he treated us all like family! Billy truly enjoys himself and it shows, I cannot recommend these tours highly enough, thanks for everything. Bev
