...or cycle, nicely located on the edge of the city and the Caledonian Canal. Plenty of wildlife to see and with the Moray Firth on the other side of the path

I was there like a year ago but have very nice memories of this place. Quiet, great views. Escape the city centre rush for a moment and go for a nice, relaxing stroll to Merkinch :)

A nice weekend walk with great views of the bay and lots of variety of bird life it eventually leads to water gates that leads to the caledonian canal

worth a visit though wildlife limited. Good paths and close to city centre so access easy. There are otters nearby certainly nearer the bridge to the Black Isle.
