About Dolphin Spirit Inverness
An educational, fun boat tour on the largest tour boat on the Moray Firth. Your personal guide will give you insightful commentary about the local wildlife, history, folklore and attractions. While on board you will have the opportunity to possibly see otters, seals, red kites, ospreys, herons and, with a stroke of luck, the resident bottlenose dolphins which all make use of the firth. Tours run at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm every day, weather permitting. The trip is roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes long, going between the Beauly Firth and Inverness Firth.

We had a lovely trip this afternoon on the dolphin spirit. We saw different types of seabirds, swans and a glimpse of a noisy seal .sadly no dolphins today but maybe next time .the staff were very helpful and informative on the trip. It was so nice to be out on the boat enjoying the fresh air and doing something different with the children. Thankyou for a great trip.i would highly recommend this trip.

A great boat trip punctuated with one or two seals. The guide's patter was a nice way of getting to know the area in a bit more detail. Obviously the animals don't come out on command, but for us more a boat tour than animal watching. As others have mentioned, if I was to do it again, I'd bring binoculars. We went on a wet day and stood on the top deck, so had the place to ourselves. Good value for money, but I'd love to try it on a sunny day!

We really enjoyed our trip on the Dolphin Spirit. We weren't lucky enough to spot any Dolphins but we seen some seals. We were very lucky with weather as it was a beautiful morning and was a beautiful ride out out into the Moray Firth. The skipper was great and Sue was lovely she made us feel really welcome, was really informative and gave us a few spots to try after the trip to spot some of the Harbour Porpoises and Baskin Sharks. Thanks very much for a lovely trip. 😊

Its lovely to receive a review when the Crew get a name check, it means they've managed to share their knowledge and passion for our wildlife with passengers which is always our goal. We have no control over what the animals in our waters may do but at least the seals were about this time. Thanks again

A nice trip with a knowledgeable and experienced guide who added a little levity to what was, in our case, an hour and twenty minute trip to see one seal (at a distance) and possibly a common Skate. It’s the nature of a trip like this that you might not see anything so we were grateful for what we did see. It was also quite good fun looking for the wildlife. Binoculars are recommended.

Thank you for your review. In normal times we provide binoculars for on-board use when the animals are at a distance but during this Pandemic its not possible to hygienically share these items so we've had to remove them. We never know what's about when we venture out and that was the first time we've ever seen a Skate fish! Thanks again.
