Just got back from another couple of guided days in the West Highlands which I organised with West Coast Mountain Guides. It's the 3rd time I've been out with them and this was probably the most enjoyable. The booking and organisation process was as smooth and simple as always - I just wanted 2 days doing Grade 2/3 Climbs in... More

Another fantastic weekend with Ken and West Coast. We had good weather and steady conditions in the hills for a couple of adventurous routes. As always Ken pitched the level of challenge exactly right for what I wanted to achieve in my break from reality down south! Safe - Informative - challenging - fun... until next time...

I visited Fort William with a friend for a weekend of winter mountaineering recently (Feb'17). We had booked with Ken from West Coast last year also, and again this year we had an amazing time. We booked Ken for three days, though I bowed out on the second day due to needing a rest day. Ken provided a tailored, adventurous... More

My partner and I decided to hire a guide for 5 days based out of Fort William. We wanted long epic days / adventures, a challenge and to improve on our winter skills. Ken was very accommodating and couldn't have got what we wanted more spot on. Our first day was an early start to avoid the worst of the... More

Ken was very quick to respond and help me find a guide the very weekend I contacted him! Although conditions were not ideal for the route, we still had a great day out on the north face of the Ben! thank you!

This was a great climb in difficult wintry conditions and was a really good stepping stone to develop the skills to climb Tower Ridge in the winter! From the off, WCMG were professional and adaptable altering the route of the climb to suit the conditions and unexpected events. Our Guide, Max, was informative, interesting and helped to ensure the day... More

I was after some 1:1 guiding on a classic route on the Ben, Ken's communication from the outset was obviously informed and incisive and after discussion a day was planned based on my experience and current conditions. Steve's guiding on the day was perfect, informing and instructing when needed and respecting of past experience when not. I will be using... More

A fantastic day on the mountain led by Steve Holmes. I have nothing but positive feedback to give. Steve was very professional, informative and easy to get along with. My climbing partner and I both came away with increased confidence to tackle some routes on our own and we're already making plans in this regard. We both a learnt a... More
