Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sadly Fairy forest is no more as it was demolished when the trees in the forest were logged. It was a special place and l am pleased to say my husband, my children and l got the chance to visit several years ago. An enchanting peaceful secret place and l thank the local people who made it.

This is a must for people with children. You must see it to appreciate its charm. There are lots of things to observe - unlike anything else I have seen.

A magical place to visit. Easy to find with ample parking. There is definitely a magical aura surrounding this forest.

Sadly it's seems that we missed it by mere weeks, one local was kind enough to tell us when we were close by that it had been dismantled a couple of weeks ago :( you can still see small reminders it was there some coloured pebbles, flowers and teddy bear fluff lying around but unfortunately the fairy forest is no more!

Having read the previous reviews and some internet articles on the Fairy Forest, we spent the day on Wednesday (4th February 2015) trying to find it - only to realise that it has in fact all been dismantled for forestry felling!! :(
We spoke to two different walkers who had told us that it had been very recently taken apart, just over the last couple of weeks, but we wanted to see for ourselves - we did find some remnants, fluff from teddy bears, ties on trees where things had been hanging, small benches, little shiny buttons and the like, but heartbreakingly nothing still intact!
The site itself is just past Lochgelly - we drove through Lochgelly up the hill, and not long after the village on the right there is a bit at the side of the road which one or two cars could park in (looks too big to be a passing place but too small to be a car park!) just at a kissing gate on the right hand side of the road. Walk through the kissing gate down the hill to the loch path, and go left. Walk along the path until the trees thicken, and then the site was off the path on the right.
Absolutely gutted we obviously just missed it - thought we should leave a review for anyone else looking to visit though!! Still a lovely walk along the loch, no fairies though :(

This is an incredible place,it is quiet and peaceful, you can hardly believe it.We have taken the grandchildren here several times, and you discover something different each time.
The vast array of toys, ornaments, ribbons and knick knacks is incredible. The children love it,and so do the adults!! The folks who have made this place are to be admired.
A truly magical place.

ok I know in reality it's just a wood where people have left toys but there's something special about this place. From the moment you arrive (if you can find it) you are drawn into the magic. You end up whispering and and walking round carefully looking for all the things you didn't see last time. There's a visiters book for you to read and sign. People from all over the world have contributed to make this an amazing place to go. Definitely a place to go. If the fairies let you find it ;-)
