Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took 3YO son for his first walk over this iconic bridge on a windy winter day. Breathtaking views across the water and loved the snow capped peaks locally and beyond. About 25 minutes walk to the roundabout at Kyleakin. Must visit and even better on foot.

The bridge itself is now toll-free. BBC Scotland showed an interesting programme on its history, construction and the protests over the tolls originally imposed. Well worth a watch online to appreciate the importance of this link between Skye and the mainland.

The Skye bridge is unquestionably a superb link from the mainland to the Isle of Skye and we have crossed it on many different seasons . As well as it being free you get great views from it and many people park their cars and walk across to take pictures from it. Today as it was snowing we just drove across it.

We stayed nearby and used this to go to Skye on a number of occasions. It serves a purpose and you get some great views in both directions but we were actually expecting it to be more picturesque as a structure. Not sure why but it is still worth a visit if only the views while you are using it.

Great views from the bridge. Only a 20 minute walk from Kyle or Kyleakin centres. Some information about construction of the bridge would be an improvement. By aware there’s no safe parking near the bridge itself. if you are driving and want to stop you’ll need to walk back from The town centre.

The Skye bridge has great views and is a great way to get one to the island. We used the bridge to get onto the island and the ferry to get off of it. It's a great way to get further down the mainland without too much driving.

This is a lovely bridge, we had great views of this from our b&b window, it was the reason we picked that particular one, although can get quite misty. It's so much better than taking the ferry, as the sea can be quite rough on the crossing.

Parked in Klyeakin on the Skye side and walked over to Kyle of Lochalsh and back again. It was a clear day and the views were just awesome, could see for miles.

Only thing to note is the paths are open to the road and drivers doing the required 40mph were few and far between so be careful particularly with young children.

Very nice, big bridge that brings the traffic to the Isle of Skye. It appeared safe and no issues crossing it. Must take if visiting the Island
