We visited the castle in autumn and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the renovations around the castle. Very interesting to see how the family would have lived in past times, my favourite part was the kitchen re-creation. Probably not suitable for those with...More

While we continued our adventure through the Highlands, at this point we were in a race with the sun to the Eilean Donan Castle. 20 minutes before the sunset we made it. There it was, a lone castle connected with the main land only with...More

This is the MacRae's family castle from way back and still owned today by the family. We went early so no lines or crowds. Stunning outside and beautiful inside. Well kept up with much to see inside and informative docents.

Lovely informative staff. This place was great fun, even though it was wet and windy. It is incredibly picturesque and the castle is well maintained. Would definitely recommend a visit!

My wife and I visited here in November and enjoyed a beautiful day walking the grounds. It's nice that you can explore the castle on your own with employees spaced in different rooms in case you might have questions. We enjoyed the Kitchen which even...More

We visited this castle yesterday with family and friends. It is spectacular and the history that comes with it is rich. The view from it across the Loch makes for good photos, the interior has been sympathetically restored and atmospheric. There is a section where...More
