Have passed this castle quite a few times on our way to Skye but this time we actually went in! The price of £7.50 was fair and the castle is well worth a visit. Although the castle in its present form was only built in...More

We had passed this castle many times on previous holidays, but this was our first visit. It was very interesting, but also very busy. There are quite a few rooms to visit - watch out as some of the steps are quite uneven and steep....More

Really worth a visit...was expecting it to be a 10 minute stop but was pleasantly surprised by spending more time. Very pretty, especially when the sun came out. Busy with coach parties. At first glance the car park was full but wait a minute or...More

Recommended. Hope you get a dry day..... A very beautiful castle, with a great heritage. Lots of bus tours....avoid getting stuck behind them.

The castle is photogenic. Great place to visit if you are in the area. Staff in each room had wealth of information to share and friendly. My favorite room is the kitchen. A bit disappointment on the admission tickets. They were just thermal paper without...More

We were driving from Inverness up to Portree for the night and we passed by the Eilean Donan Castle and decided to stop and see the surroundings. We ended up getting there after hours so we were unable to get in, BUT the land and...More

This castle is worth a visit. Smallest castle I've ever been but worth a visit. A piece of history that would be valuable in the future as a study in architecture

Fascinating place with lots of interesting things to see. Take advantage of the staffs knowledge and ask questions. Don't forget to open some of the closed cupboard doors for some surprises. £7.50 per person for the visit was worth it.

I hate leaving bad reviews but felt this was needed.. I can honestly say that the stop we made here on our way to Skye was pretty disappointing.. As we arrived, there was limited parking, no access allowed for dogs and the staff at the...More

To be honest Katie - the best photos of the castle are taken from outside of the grounds - ie the car park and surrounding shoreline. You will get some stunning shots. I don't think there are any car park barriers after... More

Although we don't have a huge amount of space, yes we will store your luggage while you're visiting the castle.

The castle is on the main road to Skye. Even if there is snow, the road itself will be cleared and passable throughout the winter season.
