Played Nairn and a few other courses in the area in early April 2017. Nairn charged us their full summer green fee for a Monday in early April in Scotland(!) and, while there was much to compliment the layout, the course was far from at its best with, for example, many mats rather than tees. Given how much better value... More

A playable but difficult golf course. Views over the Moray firth on all holes . Looks very pretty in the spring with the yellow gorse lining most fairways. All the par 3 holes bar the first are fairly long and all well protected by bunkers. Very traditional club house with strict dress codes. As a four ball we were round... More

Great course in lovely location. Well worth visiting with excellent clubhouse facilities. A course to test even the best golfer, especially if the wind blows.

A really friendly venue and we could not fault any of the staff who we met. A superb course in wonderful condition. As good as its "prestigious neighbour" to the west and costs far less. Wonderful views as you pass through this stunning course.

Of the many courses played in Scotland, Nairn's staff and starters were the most friendly. Beautiful weather and spectacular track. However, beware the 'gourse' Thank you for your elegance and warmth.

Every time we return to Scotland which is often lately I return to this classic and playable Links. Links golf is what I love and this one combines all one wants. I can walk the entire course without wearing myself out- in my seventies now- and enjoy a very challenging course along the Firth. Greens and fairways in very good... More

If you only have one round when you are in Inverness, play Dornoch or Castle Stuart. If you have three rounds, play Narin. It is a traditional, out and in, links course. It's not as well known as other Scottish courses, and there are more locals playing. The club house is inviting and overlooks the course. There are a good... More

Played Nairn a few weeks back. It had been a number of years since I had played true links golf and this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I caught the course on a fairly benign evening with only a slight 1/2 club headwind on the way out. Fairways, greens and tees immaculate. Can't wait to play more links golf over... More

What a fantastic golf experience! Good value, excellent course, marvelous greens. Customer service is outstanding. Be sure to speak with Ali at the starter's office for hints and tips on the course. If you love links golf, you'll have to stop and play this course. For higher-handicappers like me, it is a tough course going into the wind, but I... More

One of Scotland's unsung courses, despite hosting both Walker Cup & Curtis cup. A superb layout which isn't physically demanding, but you'd better be straight, and have your putting boots on on the lightning greens. Plenty of enjoyable holes, the Par 5s especially not being overly long, but play to your handicap and you've done well. Better than Royal Dornoch... More
