Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a 4 ball here and we had a great time. The course is more parkland than links. The rough was not punitive and it was lovely time.

We had a great time on the course and we had a good lunch in the clubhouse.

Definitely well worth a visit.

What a great golf course and deserves as much of a mention as it's perceived big brother. Different type of course to Nairn West and a challenge in terms of you have to really plan your way round and driver is not always your friend.

It is a course with a clear identity and the green staff do a great job on it. I met the course manager and we had a chat about their work and approach to maintaining the course. It genuinely is a credit to them.

Clubhouse was friendly and I did enjoy a lite bite to eat there and some tea. Great value for money. So yes when you go to Nairn, please ensure you play this great course.

Played in the 5 day open again this year. The course was in great condition and was a a credit to the green staff. As usual we were made extremely welcome by the members and staff which went a long way to make our visits to the golf club very enjoyable.
The organisation of the 5 day open competition cannot be faulted with everything running as smoothly as it possibly could do.
If you have not played at Nairn Dunbar golf course add it to your wish list, you will not be disappointed.

Great round of golf for a group. Everyone was very excited to see us and share their course with us. Nothing very challenging and got to see wildlife while on the course.
Course is very well maintained.

We travel to Nairn frequently and decided to go to Nairn Dunbar for breakfast as we haven’t been for years. And as soon as the roll & sausage was put down we remembered why, the sausages (both links & square) and the rolls are absolutely dreadful. The square was tasteless, but the links were just dreadful and tasted cheap and nasty. Such a shame as the clubhouse has lovely views and it doesn’t look like it is struggling financially, so why there is a need to buy cheap tasteless sausages I just don’t know.

My wife had a tuna panini and she enjoyed that, it was just the breakfast rolls that were awful.

I haven’t played Nairn Dunbar for a number of years and was delighted to see the course remains largely the same with a few really impressive changes. I noticed a few new fairways bunkers that were really well placed. The biggest change was the removal of a lot of trees on 9, 10 & 11, I was very surprised as I liked the tree lined nature of the holes however, I think the changes have improved the holes. Without the tress you appreciate the natural contours of the fairway and rough and gives the holes much more of a links feel. Really impressed and can’t wait to come back.

My Aunite's wake was held here after her burial in Auldearn, travelled up from Gosport, Hampshire.
Lovely Spread - Sausage rolls were so good (believe they are from a local butcher on Leopold Street & the cream scones where absolutely gorgeous, large & so light, not sure where they came from, however afterwards I was told that it could be the shop next to the Butcher.

Well kept coarse with some challenging holes, must be up there with the best in the area. Warm welcome in both the Pro-Shop and Clubhouse. Would recommend a visit.

Club has made several changes to the layout of the course over recent months with it now more focused on a traditional links set up. It remains a fair challenge for all levels and well worth a visit if you are in the area or simply looking for friendly course to play.
