Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I visited the Nairn Museum today. What a gem of a place! We really enjoyed our time there. Staff were so friendly and the Museum is beautifully laid out. The displays provided a great deal of information about the history of Nairn. We purchased a couple of books from the Museum shop, as we are now very inspired to do the Nairn Fishertown Walk and learn about Nairn's old stories. We loved the Culloden display in the War Room too. Just a really great place to visit. I also want to say a big thank you to Jenny, who answered my pre-visit email enquiring about parking so promptly. It was greatly appreciated. The Museum is highly recommended.

A great museum with lovely volunteers who have a wealth of knowledge both of Nairn itself and also surrounding towns and history. Lots and lots of information and interesting artefacts and exhibitions. Well worth a visit.

Get yourself along to Nairn Museum. It is for everyone, kids, adults, your Aunte Jean - even if she can't take the stairs, because guess what, they have a stair lift!
The staff are lovely, if you get a chance to speak with John about the history of Nairn, take the chance. Keep an eye out for his walks. Lovely, knowledgeable man.
The museum will have you well informed on the history of the area, it has really good exhibits. It is rather fun - look out for the shrunken head though, fascinating, but haunting. Loved the old school room. Keep up the good work.

This was a lovely introduction to the local history of Nairn. Well worth a visit with lots of history from the last 160 years or so.

The staff were lovely too and very welcoming and helpful.

Greeted by two ladies who told us about the museum. We wandered through the handful of rooms which were all crammed with historic nicknacks and curios. Liked the section on the High Street then & now. We also spotted the shrunken head - it is quite small! Not entirely sure it was worth £4 entry fee.

An interesting museum, gives lots of information about the local area. What I found very interesting was that this museum actually has part of Bonnie Prince Charlie,s clothing.

Had a fab visit. History of the area really interesting. Lots of artefacts modern and ancient. Ladies had lots of information regarding the exhibits. Would have enjoyed a cuppa afterwards though.
The museum is near town centre with free parking and lots of independent shop and cafes

You can happily spend an hour or two here. Lots of information on local history which is suitable for all age groups. Perhaps a bit top heavy on the historic golf area, but this is easily overlooked if this is not your area of interest.
