Fabulous 3 day tour of the Highlands! The entire tour was fantastic, starting from the itinerary and the carefully picked accommodations that made this trip even more special.
Our guide and driver Tom was fantastic as well! He had so much knowledge of Scottish history, giving us insights on every stop we had. He is also a very friendly and funny guy, really enjoyed having him as our guide!

Amazing 4 day tour of the Scottish Highlands. Matt, our driver and guide, was outstanding. The staff organized a great program tailored to our needs. Very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We stayed at exceptional and unique properties and learned so much about this beautiful part of the world. Highly recommend Luxury Highland Tours.

We’ve just returned from a six day tour of the Scottish Highlands, the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Lewis and Harris. It was a perfect way to see the wonderful scenery of this beautiful part of the world, visit many places and learn about its history. Jennifer at Luxury Highland tours had planned the trip and had made all the hotel reservations in advance and they didn’t disappoint! The hotels were luxurious and in stunning locations. We’d had the choice of doing the tour in either a Land Rover Discovery or a VW transporter. We choose the later. It was so spacious and comfortable and I would recommend it for a tour like this. What made the tour so special was our driver and guide, Colin. He is a lovely gentleman who goes to great lengths to make sure he is providing you with the best experience, he is very knowledgeable and tailors the tour to your desires. He also takes time to add in special extras like providing Prosecco on a beach in Skye and a whisky tasting. He’d also sorted out a visit to a croft to watch a sheep dog demonstration which was one of the many highlights of this trip. We will certainly cherish the memories of this holiday and recommend Luxury Highland Tours

We hired these folks for a day long Outlander Tour to traverse from Edinburgh to Glasgow. Our guide Colin was superb! The van was very comfortable for our tall family and we had a great time chatting with Colin who was able to answer questions both historical and current. We already have begun talking about doing a 10 day trip with Colin to see more of beautiful Scotland. Highly recommend!!

I had the privilege of touring Scotland 8 years ago with Best Scottish Tours and fell in love with the highlands. I have been dreaming about taking my family back since then and Luxury Highland Tours did not disappoint!! We had Matt as our guide and he is a well of Scottish knowledge, history, culture, language, he has an answer to just about everything! We didn’t give one thought about anything but the wonder of Scotland. He was so patient and engaging with our two exhausted teenagers and even got a few laughs out of them. The best thing about this tour is the quality time you get in so many beautiful places no matter what your time constraints and the amount of knowledge you gain at each spot and on the road! Luxury Highland Tours worked with us on timing, goals of places to see, meal plans and budget. It was and remains the best tour I’ve taken (there have been quite a few) and I am dreaming of the day we can return to see the rest of Scotland with this wonderful company!! I highly recommend these tours to everyone!!

So, if you are considering hiring a private tour company for your future travels to Scotland you need not look further than “Luxury Highland Tours”. My wife and I along with another couple just returned from a tour of Scotland with Luxury Highland Tours and I can report this company is absolutely 1st class in every detail. From the beginning, Jennifer our trip coordinator worked with us tirelessly and professionally through each segment of our journey to secure all our highly rated accommodations, excursions, and essential dining reservations for each day of travel. We communicated regularly to develop and establish a 7-day tour Itinerary to meet all our interests, and Jennifer was there each step of this detailed planning process to ensure we would have the most amazing and unforgettable journey through the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye. Once the planning was done, we were greeted in Edinburgh by our driver and tour guide Matt, who with many years’ experience made sure our well organized trip met all expectations. Throughout our travels, Matt was exceptionally knowledgeable and personable as he professionally pointed out key landmarks and areas of interest and was able to provide perspective on the area’s rich history, culture, and present day life. Most importantly he was able to eagerly answer and expand on all our many questions throughout our travels. At the end of the day we were all sad to see our travels come to an end and to say goodbye to our new friend. Thank you, Jennifer, Matt, and Luxury Highland Tours for such an amazing trip!!

Matt is a fabulous guide with a wealth of knowledge of Scotland and what our beautiful country has to offer. He really enjoyed taking your tour out and has been telling us about it all, Some fabulous photos and memories to cherish! We where all particularly jealous of his tour of your private jet at Edinburgh airport!

I wasn't actually on a Luxury Highlands tour but ran into Matt at Eileen Donan Castle while I was with another group. He was standing around helping others and after he was finished I approached him to ask a few historical questions.
On top of looking authentic and professional in his kilt, Matt is an absolutely fantastic historian with a wealth of knowledge and was able to explain anything I asked him, no matter what it was. He is also very friendly and personable and I loved talking to him about how history has affected modern Scotland. I only had time to chat with him for about 15 minutes but I wish I could have done so for many hours.
Despite our short time together, I think our interaction was one of the highlights of my trip and honestly believe that Matt was one of my favorite people I met in Scotland. If things had been different I would have booked with Luxury Highlands Tours in a heartbeat, but will have to wait for next time. Meanwhile, I've already recommended the tour to friends and family considering traveling to Scotland in the future.
Thanks again Matt, I hope our paths cross again in the future!

Chris picked us up from Greenock where our cruise ship was docked and took us across the county to Edinburgh for the day. We were surprised with a quick stop to Rosslyn Chapel before we got to the city. My dad is a huge DaVinci Code fan so it was nice to pick up a souvenir from a spot that was so integral to the film.
In Edinburgh, my husband wanted to order a kilt, so Chris dropped our friends in front of the castle and drove us over to the shop my husband had picked out. After the fitting, Chris took us back to the castle and picked us all up a few hours later.
Scotland was just gorgeous. We had spent a week there before we left on our cruise, but purposefully kept our time confined to the highlands since we knew we would be taking a tour to Edinburgh. Chris regaled us with stories about his country and provided a perspective that we couldn't get just by driving around ourselves.
Thank you so much for a beautiful trip -- we're already planning our trip back to Scotland!!

In the initial planning stage, Karen, the office manager's assistance was extremely helpful, She answered all our questions immediately and provided excellent advice. Karen went above and beyond helping us with dinner reservations on arrival in Edinburgh as well.
All aspects of the tour were as described on the website. Our guide, Matt, was amazing! He was extremely well versed about Scotland and provided extensive historical, cultural, sociological and geological information, making Scotland come alive and giving us in-depth insights into this beautiful country and it's people. Matt was extremely attentive to our needs and handled all details expertly, leaving nothing to chance. Our tour went very smoothly. The only issue was spotty internet at one remote hotel. We had a few special requests that were worked into our schedule very nicely.

From the first enquiry we aim to take the stress out of your visit to Scotland and provide assurance that everything is well taken care of. During the tour Matts task is to take that one step further by enhancing the experience of travelling, using his extensive knowledge and love of our country to ensure you get the most out of your days with us. The hotels chosen along with the cuisine they provide is the icing on the cake and some of the locations you stayed in were stunning and unique. We were a group of 10 who visited Greenock while cruising on the Brilliance of the Seas
Chris picked us up at the dock and spent the day touring with us. We visited Loch Lomond, Argyll Castle and Inverarary. We had a great day and Chris was a great guide.

thanks for your question, we offer a variety of shore excursions to Edinburgh, Stirling and Inveraray - but we would need to know which port you are arriving into to give you a more precise offer.
