Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an interesting park situated at the top of a hill and named for the well in the park. The well which gave the park it’s name is still there, protected by railings in the north east corner of the park. The park is roughly square shaped with a war memorial at it’s centre. In fact, there are several memorials for fallen soldiers around the park, as well as lots of benches and a children’s play area. The park is unquestionably dominated by the Greenock Cenotaph at the centre, which itself is magnificent and worth the climb up.

It is a nice well maintained open space with a War Memorial and a childrens' playpark, but that is it.

Not really anything to do except sit in the park.

Because of its elevated position, it does have great views over the Clyde to the Argyleshire hills.

a lot of tarmac and not much to see. War memorial is highlight. View is mostly obstructed by houses. Kid's play ground is popular. Steep stairs to climb

This is a large park overlooking the town. Lovely views of the Town Buildings and the river from here. The flower displays are very colourful.

As we followed the address "6 Cathcart Square", we came to the town hall square and we could park easily but.... we had to clim quite high. And if you go to the regent street you will find the park gate and you don't need to climb the hill. Anyway, we enjoyed walking in this park as we had a beautiful view of greenock and the water. It's well-kept park with a well ( it was closed, though), a war monument in the middle of the park and a play ground for the kids. When we climbed down the hill, we saw a plaque on the park wall as remembrance of the victims of the massacre of April 8, 1820, there is also a monument for that incident ( Radical War Memorial ).

Well Park. This place should be renamed to Wealth Park, because there is a wealth of great pokemon in this lovely garden. As well as the afforementioned cenotaph. RIP SOLDIERS. I took the plunge and took my pokehunting on the risky side. I went to the well park around 11PM on a weekend. I was terrified of the dark, but knew the buzz about this joint was too good to miss. I took one step beyond the large gate and immediately came into an altercation with a charmander! But hey, Im a pokemaster, so i caught that charmander. Not long afterwards I ended up also catching a Wartortle. This place is a paradise for starter pokemon. Blastoise I am coming for you!! Not only is this a hunting ground - but after all my energy was spent chasing some pokemon about, some nice kind dudes gave me a drink to rehydrate myself! It was full of energy "Buckfast" they call it. Boy i was fastly bucked indeed! Off I went down the steps and off to carry on my adventure! x
