I visited this viewpoint two weeks ago the view of greenock playing fields was excellent but i couldnt really see much else because the weather was so crummy. Saw a really cool container ship on the way home though...πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Next time...🀞

In the daytime with a clear view you can see miles into the distance with a fantastic panorama of Greenock, Gourock all the way up the Clyde and over Dumbarton Rock to Ben Lomond. Almost like being a bird watching the ferry coming and going.

Must have passed the sign countless times over the years, but never ventured up. This is a wonderful location with incredible views all round from Inverclyde, the Cowal peninsula and up the Clyde. The memorial to the Free French sailors of WW2 is poignant. This...More

The views from here over Gourock and the Clyde and the far reaches are magnificent. The day we visited there was a good breeze but high cloud and plenty of sunshine. Photographs don't do this justice.

By taxi about 10 mins walking depending on how fit you are a good half hour but up hill hope this helps

Yes, Gourock is the nearest and good for shopping in original shops in town centre and Cardwell Bay. Bracing walk along the prom.

Sorry it has taken so long to answer. There is a local train station Greenock West where you can take a train one stop down the line to Fort Maltida. But the hike up the hill is exhusting. I would take a taxi there and walk... More
