A whimsical sculpture, totally out of place in an ancient historic city.. Maybe Cooper Park would be a more suitable place with a descriptiive of the artists interpretation.. What about a sculpture honouring one of the benefactors to the area ? - Anderson, Cooper or...More

This statue should be in the Cooper Park. Compared to the Drummer Boy and the Wolf of Badenoch this looks like it has been built for use in a Disney Theme park. The only saving grace is that the Tourists seem to be finding it...More

This thing would look better in a child's playpark like around the back of Cooper Park. It takes away from the Historic beauty of the Elgin High Street.

Absolutely terrible How council can commission and allow the permanent placement of such an oddity that looks like its been made by a class of children I don’t know. Pathetic get a new one out of stone.

As a family, we'd just come out of a restaurant, turned right and were faced with Dandy Lion Statue on High Street. Our immediate reaction was "What". Hideous I'm afraid.

Waste of money spent on a bad sculpture on show in Elgin high street. Does not represent any thing of local interest.

Dreadful thing. Best to get rid of it as soon as possible. I do note that a number of people like to put a traffic cone on its head. Makes it look even more ridiculous

Absolute disgrace to Elgin High Street ..a laughing stock for the town, does not fit into the architectural history of Elgin ..

It’s an embodiment of the culture and history of Elgin. The cashmere jacket for Johnston’s mill, the fish for the fishermen of the River Lossie, the top hat for... the top hat factory? Anyway it perfectly meshes with the... More
