About
***Please note: The Motor Museum is only open from Easter Weekend until the end of October and is CLOSED for winter.*** Based in the centre of Elgin (the capital of Morayshire, close to the Cooper Park), Moray Motor Museum is housed in a light and airy old mill building, part of which dates back to the era of the Cathedral when the Bishops of Moray ruled Moravia, and was used by them as a grain mill. The Moray Motor Museum houses a superb collection of veteran, vintage, classic cars and motorbikes. Most of which are on the button ready to go, added to this are the model cars and automobilia which make this a visit not be missed.

We spent a very pleasant hour or so in this small collection of classic and vintage cars, plus a few bikes and period memorabilia.
The curator, Brian, was welcoming and knowledgeable, with time for all of the visitors.
"go where you wish, take as many pictures as you want and ask as many questions as you need to".
The cars are regularly used and are in A1 condition.
Well worth a visit.

What a wonderful find. A superb collection of classic and vintage cars which have been lovingly restored. Our favourites were the Jaguar SS100 and the Austin Seven commercial van. Our host was an enthusiast and had lots of interesting tales about all the cars - it was a really enjoyable visit.

We loved this museum, the man was very helpful and interesting to talk to. The exhibition’s were well laid out and beautifully kept and displayed. The toilets were very clean and you get a voucher for tea, coffee or a soft drink at Decora next door. Would recommend this to all ages.

What a lovely collection. All lovingly restored to the very highest standard. A very enjoyable time. Nice to see they are all still driven and not just museum pieces.

Nice collection of British classic cars. Little detail about each on, not the biggest of museums but if in Elgin worth a trip only £7 entry and a free cuppa or soft drink at the garden centre over the road.

Great to see a very mixed display from vintage to classic mass produced cars. Very friendly staff who ensure you know all about the vehicles on display.

Excellent find. A lovely collection lovingly restored where every car had a story. Brian was very attentive and knowledgeable- what a nice chap.
Could get quite close to the cars so could get a good view of dashboards and interiors. An impressive collection of toy cars too.
Well worth a visit

Great wee find in Elgin. Have passed the green signs many times and often wondered what it was. This time we had a look! Spent a fantastic couple of hours here admiring the stunning vehicles they have. They are beautifully kept and lots of information is available. I loved the 'really' old cars they had. Very reasonable entry price which allowed you a cup of tea or coffee from the garden centre over the road after your visit - great idea! Thoroughly recommend popping in for a visit. You won't be disappointed

I had read that the museum had a SS Jaguar 100 and I wanted to compare it to mine. It is a super museum, with a great range of manky British classics. We were the only visitors, shortly before closing time, and Mark, the curator spent an hour showing us round. If you are anywhere near Elgin (we were travelling back to London via Inverness after a trip to the Out Hebrides) it is worth a special detour.
