About
Glen Moray is a small authentic working distillery with bags of atmosphere and real people going about their business – making whisky. We offer a range of distillery tours and tastings as well as a coffee shop and gift shop. Our Visitor Centre includes a small coffee shop serving light lunches, homemade soups, cakes and biscuits. Enjoy a bite to eat before your tour, relax with a tasting after your lunch or just pop in for a cup of coffee. In the summer months our outside seating area allows you to enjoy a bit of fresh air with a whisky or even a beer. Dogs are welcome in our outside seating area.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Glen Moray is not well-known in the US, but it has a long history of making single malt whiskies in Speyside. We enjoyed our tour very much with Ben, who was an enthusiastic guide. The tasting portion of the tour was informative and there is an opportunity to have an additional flight, which was also well explained. Highly recommend.

Fabulous and very informative distillery tour, led by Rebecca. This was followed by a tasting which consisted of two delicious single malt whiskys. And all for £12 per person, which offered very good value for money. A great experience all round.

19/06/2024. Visited Glen Moray distillery as a walk-in, hoping there was space for a tour, which thankfully there was a couple spaces left for my friend and I. The visitor centre was really cosy with a lovely cafe and a wide range of whisky and non-alcoholic souvenirs. The staff were extremly friendly.
I would like to say a huge thank you to our host Ben, who made the experience extremly enjoyable. He was enthusiatic and showed his passion for his work. Would highly recommend anyone to visit.

Excellent tour, good value. Rebecca was our Guide and was an excellent communicator, with sound knowledge of how the whiskey is made, answered all questions with confidence. We enjoyed two tastings, but could pay extra for additional tastings.

We had an excellent tour, delivered by Ben, who was friendly, witty, knowledgeable and very clearly spoken. He really brought the whole process arrived and his explanations appear to have been understood by our multi-national group. Well done and thankyou.

In the Visitor Centre, it was very good value for the small breakfast of Lorne sausage and a fried egg, with toast. As a senior citizen it filled me adequately in the middle of the day to then check out the single malts across the multipurpose cafe / shop. There I ended up buying 9 different bottles.

The tour was informative and showed the process of whiskey making. From the grinding of the barley through to all the different casks that are used to age the whiskey.

Our tour guide Ben was very knowledgeable and interesting. He used a portable microphone to enable us all to hear above the workings of the machinery which was very helpful. The tasting was as expected but I have to say even I liked the whiskey here and the trip was really for my husband as I don't like whiskey! I would recommend this tour, reasonably priced, interesting and an hour is a good length for the tour Opportunity to ask questions was there too.
