Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved our tour of Scotland with Bruce. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Scotland’s centuries-old history, and he planned a fabulous tour of castles and landscapes. A trip highlight was a hike in the Scotish Highlands, where Bruce lent kilts for the day to the men in our group.. what fun!
Bruce was timely everyday to whisk us to the days itinerary, and would call ahead if we needed lunch or dinner reservations. He is flexible with the itinerary and made sure we got the most out of everyday. It was delightful to have him as our guide to see and understand the beauty and strength of Scotland and it’s people!

We hired Bruce for a 1 day tour from Edinburgh to St. Andrews. He knew immediately just where to take us. It was a delight from start to finish; from Bruce’s sartorial Scottish style to his immaculate Land Rover. He was a wealth of knowledge and certainly showed us parts of the coast that we would have never experienced otherwise. I would hire Bruce again without hesitation!

Bruce did a fantastic job. We required his services for a tour from St. andrews to Turnberry. On the way he showed us around Glasgow very quickly and efficiently showing us the sites, scheduling a distillery tour and lunch and activities and then off to Turnberry on the west coast. Clean and luxurious Land Rover. Perfect fit.

This was the third trip to Scotland for me and the first for my daughter-in-law. My husband and I had used Bruce and I wouldn't hire anyone else for this trip. We gave him a list of the places we wanted to visit; he took it from there designing a fantastic itinerary including them and many other stops. We appreciated the fact that he stayed in the same lodging building each night plus ate dinner with us. This helped two ladies alone feel much safer.
My husband and I also toured with Bruce in Europe a few years ago. He picked us up in Amsterdam after a Viking River Cruise. We drove to the Normandy area in France. He was so knowledgeable and increased our enjoyment and knowledge of the areas we traveled through.

Bruce was just wonderful to tour with! He took my girlfriends and me on a three day adventure...picking us up each morning, filling our days with all the sights and local cuisine and then returning us safely (and exhausted) each evening. He planned our days and was open to changes as our own plans changed. He was timely, friendly and entertaining! Bruce knew all the local sights to see and gave us a bit of history and local custom along the way. When in the area again...we will call on Bruce!

My wife, myself and 2 of our best friends had the pleasure of having Bruce as our tour guide on a day trip from Ft. William to Edinburg (June 2, 2023). The experience was beyond exceptional. We (and I’m confident I speak for everyone in our party) had a wonderful time. Bruce is certainly well versed in Scottish history, however it’s his ability to disseminate that history in such a delightful and entertaining manner that made our trip so special and so enjoyable. Honestly, within the first hour of our journey Bruce felt like family and a 9 hour tour passed all too quickly. There couldn’t possibly be a better guide or tour guide service in all of Scotland. Thank you Bruce.

We now know why Bruce is called Bruce Almighty and rightly so! My family engaged Bruce for a tour of Scotland and he adroitly led 19 of us family members, ages 17 - 91, to see the magnificent views of the country. Bruce is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Scotland, what important sights to see, and how to navigate the area. Bruce was always prompt and efficient with our time, so that we could enjoy the tour to the fullest. He is pleasant to be around and has a great sense of humor, which made our experience not only educational but also entertaining. We highly recommend our new friend, Bruce, as your guide to Scotland and beyond!

Bruce gave us a one day tour from Glasgow to Fort William.
He was knowledgeable, affable, and over all was very flexible to changes to the itinerary to accommodate for the suboptimal planning by Firebird, our tour operator, who had scheduled us for a visit to a site that was closed.
There are many stunning sites to see on the beautiful road to the Highlands, and Bruce certainly has the stories to bring you a memorable experience.

An absolutely delightful 2 days with Bruce. Castles, gardens, distilleries, bridges and the beautiful mountains in the Highlands of Scotland. Bruce is flexible and will do whatever you request of him. He found great restaurants for lunch and had excellent cuisine recommendations. Outstanding!

I reworked times to apply to current Eastern standard, put it in larger font, and adjusted spacing so I could print it out.
We followed the itinerary which I put in binder (3 ring) and started making reservations etc with notes as to completion of not and dated as to when I needed to check back.
I printed them out on a day by day basis and then in the sleeve each reservation etc went In sleeves per day.
The postal codes were most necessary and the GPS only took us off track o e day.
We did find places perhaps not worth the visit were extremely interesting to us history buffs.
The Isle of Skye was a bit long and repetitive with very narrow roads and was a long haul to civilization with the ferry being difficult to find, we drove in ourselves.
Would do it again especially with the concise, complete itinerary!!!

We will be coming to Scotland in the summer of 2016. Family of ten and will be staying in Stirling. Would like tour of Loch Lomond, Inverary Castle, and more.
Have family who live in Lochearnhead and Brig O'Turk. Am still in planning stage. Are you able to accomodate 10 in a van? We would prefer to do day trips.
Grandkids want to see Loch Ness (with the hope of seeing Nessie!!!) You seem to be the answer I was looking for in regard to seeing Scotland. Thanks in advance for you reply.
