Full-Day Trip to Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands from Edinburgh

555 reviews
Unless you rent a car for the day, getting to Loch Ness from Edinburgh is an arduous task. Escape the city, and travel to the Scottish Highlands with ease on this day trip, ideal for travelers with limited time. Avoid the hassle of navigating rural Scotland’s winding roads, and save your energy for the unspoiled scenery of Great Glen, Rannoch Moor, and Loch Ness. Plus you can also upgrade to include a cruise on Loch Ness.

The staffs here are not that welcoming or friendly. We did not expect this here as we were wishing to use lavatory.

Unfortunately during the present circumstances we find ourselves in the exhibition is closed but the excellent cafe including a balcony overlooking the dam and outdoor seating I open . A wide range of food is available including light lunches is available but I would recommend the scones. As soon as someone leaves the staff clean the tables ready for the next customer

Lovely very clean place to visit. Great cafe with very good cakes, friendly staff and view from the balcony outside the cafe is superb. The Halloween “spooky cake” was delicious 😋

The cafe has Lovely views and great food, with gluten free options too. The cafe is also dog friendly for well behaved pooches, we liked the Three Woofs and You're Out rule too! 🤣 They even brought a small tub of treats over for our border collie. The mushroom soup was superb and the gluten free sandwiches lovely. Thank you 10/10.

Went to have a wander around Pitlochry Dam so walked all the way down. When there I needed to use their toilets only to be told I had to use the cafe to use the toilets. I really didn't want anything to eat or drink at that point so had to leave to try and find toilets elsewhere. Would of been happy to leave my details to use the toilet if that had been the issue. Not very tourist friendly. Lady behind desk was very abrupt about it and not very considerate.
