We visit Pitlochry every December for a family get together and we always go to The Pitlochry Festival Theatre on the Saturday for the matinee performance. It is truly the start of our Christmas celebrations and we always look forward to it and have never been disappointed. The theatre is in a fabulous location and is in itself a lovely... More

After coming from the salmon leap, my husband and I stopped here for a light lunch and to catch our breath from the cold. The chips we had were very nice. There are other options of food on the menu. Inside the festival theatre apart, from the restaurant, is the theatre it's self. (check website for more details of shows).... More

We were lucky to get tickets for the last Scrooge performance on December 23rd and were not disappointed. The production with its special effects, performers, costumes and decoration is highly professional. The performers seemed to have fun on stage! We were so happy to have had the chance to see it. It is a "must-see" if you are in the... More

Lovely "theatre in the hills", where we visited two performances in a single day. The large musical productions are as good and entertaining as anywhere else, and the repertory company clearly have great fun. Must-see.

Although we never need any reason to visit Pitlochry as it is such a lovely town and area, PFT usually has a significant impact on how often we do visit when time off from work allows. December 2016 with Scrooge the musical was another example. We have never eaten in the theatre as there are so many options in the... More

We come to all shows if possible each year. Shows are great and Scrooge is a shining beacon. As always coffee and biscuits from the lovely staff and one of THE most helpful box offices anywhere in the land.

The musical was excellent. The audience no matter young or old were captivated all the time. It is because the performance was great and the stage was well planned and well used all the way through. What a great show for Christmas!

We really love this theatre and the productions but the service at the restaurant and bar is woeful to say the least. We arrived 2 hours before the performance and had to queue for some time to order our food. That was nothing to the wait we had to await its delivery! We waited over 45 minutes despite repeated prompting... More

Hi, thank you for taking the time to write your review. Good customer service is something that we try to excel in throughout PFT, so I am surprised and extremely disappointed to learn of your experience at lunch. I have spoken with the Catering Manager regarding this matter and he has not been made aware of any such issues recently.... More
