- Peter Carnyx3 contributionsA Great Lunchtime Meal and Dogs WelcomeTraveling up to Orkney and asked Alexa to suggest lunch at Pitlochry suitable for vegetarians (and dogs welcome). Red Deer was top of the list. What a gem. Staff were really friendly. The meals were excellent. Then a walk down to the lake. We were so impressed we called back for a meal 3 days later on our way home to The Dales. Highly recommended.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 April 2023

- A Mark C6 contributionsGreat course3rd time I have played here, last time was about 17yrs ago and time before that could be about the same length if time. You have a fair old climb from the clubhouse to the top of 1st 5 holes, managed OK with carry bag. Lots of great views. Course was in great condition although rather damp on Tuesday afternoon when we played. Really enjoy the course everytime I play it hopefully won't be so long until I play it again.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 13 July 2023

We loved the pitch and putt! When in Scotland, you should golf! But if you are short on time the pitch and putt course is perfect. The regular course looked beautiful and challenging but we were not able to play.

Booked well in advance online. Didn’t realise but we had booked the whole package- golf, buggy& lunch. The staff were extremely helpful, talked us through the holes. It was definitely enhanced by the 24°c - no winds and nobody behind us. Spectacular views from all holes. Make sure you stop to take it all in.
The course was well Maintained & in good condition. The rough was not too penal . The greens were tricky to read. Bunkers not too much of an issue but plenty of them! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our day - a nice change after playing St Andrew’s.

The course is a ok golf course and fun to play if you get it under £40 as much better courses like boat of garten, spey valley, granton on spey even Dunkeld which is £20 is just as good. but the course is scenic and many fun holes of golf.
Its very very hilly and bit slow at times as many tourists and elderly so avoid if you want a chilled out knock about
the course design is also a bit all over the places, tees close to greens and fairways near each other so chances when busy being hit with another ball or having to wait ages for a tees to clear near a green are frustrating.
but worth a few rounds - Gary the pro however possibly the most unusual man ive come across in our opinion, he should not be in a customer facing role as very defensive vs understanding customers , plus impossible to have a conversation with him as hes a shouty one

Good afternoon Mr Rogers
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.
It is most unfortunate that your application for membership has been declined, especially when you live so near our wonderful golf course and facility.
However, based on your past correspondence and recent attitude, we had no choice in this matter.
We take great pride in taking very good care of the many visitors who choose to play one of the most unique and stunning golf courses in Scotland, as our 4.9% star reviews show.
I wish you all the best in your golfing endeavours.
Best Wishes
Gary

First time playing Pitlochry GC. Loved every minute.
The course was quite wet on some holes due to recent poor weather, but this did not dampen our experience of playing this excellent course.
Day started well with great bacon roll in the clubhouse, all staff were excellent (Gary giving us some great knowledge of the course as it was our first time).
Excellent location, beautiful scenery, and a lovely designed course made this a great round of golf.
One word of caution, if you perhaps struggle physically with hilly courses - do what we did and hire a buggy! This course, especially the first 3 holes, can be physically challenging.
Will definitely be back.

Didn’t know what to expect. I’d booked a tee time at the course since we were visiting Pitlochry. The staff was so accommodating and nice. We pretty much had the course to ourselves. The 1st 3 holes are uphill and world class. The course itself was in fab condition and the weather gods were generous. We loved the round. I’d definitely come back
