Decided to "do" Ben Vrakie with a pal who lives in Pitlochry, So to fortify us for the climb ahead called in at the clubhouse restaurant as its sort of enroute for us. We ordered 2 X egg and 2 X bacon rolls with 2 x coffee's. Arrived in no time, the rolls were bursting with bacon and double eggs,... More

Had the most fantastic night here to see in the new year. The night started with a warm welcome and a glass of chilled champage on arrival. The tables were pretty as a picture, nice touch were clocks on every table set to go off at midnight. The food was excellent as was the service. Good selection of wines and... More

This is a fun course to play, very well maintained and with an interesting variety of challenging holes. Excellent on site facilities including a putting green, driving range and short game area. Pro was welcoming and helpful, kindly offering to rearrange my booking to the following day due to inclement weather. Course was hilly and very soft underfoot in places... More

Visited here with friends. Over all we were quite disappointed, although the course was a great layout of holes, the course wasn't very well presented and greens were in terrible condition. The views of the mountains surrounding the course was stunning and somewhat made up for some of the disappointment. Our lunch was good but not the cheapest and the... More

Despite it being a sunny day the course was very wet and the greens very poor due to coring and sand.A very hilly course with a number of blind shots. The welcome in the pro shop was less than one would expect and the food was disappointing.A superb location but will not return due to foregoing comments.

I played Pitlochry for the first time yesterday with my 12-year old son and we loved it. Although my son found it very challenging due to a number of long uphill and/or blind approach shots. The course was in fantastic condition and beautifully presented and is a credit to the greens staff. Pitlochry is renowned for its own version of... More

We are a group of experienced golfers who have travelled extensively both home and abroad so we know a thing about visiting golf clubs. We were attracted to Pitlochry and loved the course but our day was spoiled by the rude young staff in the bar. They seemed unhelpful, unfriendly and uninterested. Pity because we had such a great time... More

I had not played this course for over 35 years and always knew I wanted to go back. The first 3 holes are a fairly steep climb but so interesting you almost don't notice the climb as the beckoning scenic views of the course and surrounding vidta are so enticing. The course was in first class condition and the special... More

A must play golf course if you are staying in the region. Good value, does not do this course and its setting justice. A steady climb for the first three holes rewards you with glorious views and the feel good feeling of 'I'm going to have to return down later on'. Some of the holes on this course are ones... More
