A delightfully uncommercialised gem - gladly not encumbered with vast modern sinage. Simple beauty, and the moving knowledge that one is walking in the steps of our ancient ancestors in their place of worship. Not a place for thrill seekers - but if peace and...More

You have to find the stone that's out of place to find the Korok. Seriously though, it's incredible that these stone circles exist throughout Scotland and sit untouched. As one local explained to us, they've been Christian for many centuries but they've been Pagan for...More

We finally spotted these stones from the road after missing them completely to begin with. They are in front of the farm close to the lane and were fascinating to look around.

This was the first stop during a guided tour of the region. Would love to know who placed these stones here. Absolutely fabulous.

...are these rocks doing here? These rock circles are all over Scotland. This is a pretty good one right off the side of the road near Loch Tay.

It is fairly easy to spot from the road, especially if you look for the Croft Moraig signage for the residence. It is one of the best examples of stone circles, in my opinion. There are good guides to stone circles, and to cup and...More
