Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

EasyJet has introduced self checkin baggage and it’s not working as planed. Because of this my flight is nearly one hour late.
They have done this to reduce cost but it’s now probably costing them more.
Of course this must have been a corporate decision and we all know how thick most of these people are.
Uni grads probably, all brain and no sense.
Honestly 🙄

Joke of an airport........more of a shopping centre than an airport. From plane landing at 12.30am to exit airport took 2 1/2 hours. Waited for bus to get to terminal building, queue at border control ...only 3 self service machines in operation and 1 hour 15 minutes for luggage to arrive! Once left building no taxis available .........seems limited service after 10.00pm. Eventually managed to get private hire cab......who had to add £5 to fare to cover airport pick up charge.
Should be concentrating on passenger customer service in stead of over priced shopping and eating facilities!

We have been travelling from Glasgow Airport for more than 30 years now, and it is now looking a bit tired and in need of a make-over.
While the airport flows reasonably well, you still end up in the large waiting area pending your take-off gate being announced.
Oh dear! This is such a soulless depressing place to be stuck in for an hour or two.

What a total embarrassment to visitors from abroad the people running airport should hang there heads in shame. Absolutely disgusting areas with de humidifiers blowing and not connected to anything . Toilets are disgusting coming from arrival areas. There making fortunes from pick up and drop of areas and are not reinvesting in the airport facilities it’s disgraceful.

If you arrive on a late flight don’t expect to leave unless you book a taxi in advance. The transport links are 3rd world if you manage to get to a train station the trains and buses will be unavailable after midnight so you can pay a week’s salary to a greedy taxi company.

I wish to thank Reece McGoldrick who works for Glasgow airport check in desks. We had a big problem as my friend got new passport and did not realise she would need to link it to a new Esta for going to America. Reece went way beyond our expectations in helping my friend apply for new Esta he took her right through the whole process, he stayed calm and efficient with us for a very long time. Also Erin who was at desk too was very helpful, thank you so so much Reece you do an excellent job and we so appreciated your help and support, Margaret Kay and Joy Little

An absolute embarrassment. This is the first part of Scotland visitors see. Dingy horrible arrival area, air con units on hire dotted randomly all over the place and most not working, and don’t expect any staff to show even the slightest bit of concern for the massive delays. Bags take about an hour or more to get to the carousel, what are these people doing. The queue for passport checking is just ridiculous. Only 5 machines for passport checking in an international airport is a disgrace. Certainly doesn’t do much to make us feel proud to be Scottish. Surely they can do better, and please, don’t blame brexit or Covid. It’s been like this for years.

Now operating normally again, Glasgow Airport is a small, easy to get around airport.
T2 is very near the main terminal, and the traffic flow runs freely.
However at the security check-in, they appear to be trying think up even more ways to slow everything down by insisting that everything is taken out your bags and placed in the trays individually.
Can't wait for these super scanners they tell us are coming one day soon!

Profiteering...that plain and simple!
An airport, train or bus station most fundamental role is to serve it's passengers.
But this place seems to think, it's WE the passengers and public serve it!
We are now expected to pay for the privilege of being dropped off and collected.
As well as paying the extortionate prices that the shops charge for food and water...once you get thru passport control.
IT'S ABSOLUTE OUTRAGE!

I would advise checking with the airport, I would imagine it’s service dogs only but I may be wrong.

what is the best place for breakfast near the airport
Ewen C
Glasgow, UK
Hi mamjjjggffxvh,
Thank you for your enquiry.
There are a number of options for breakfast both before (SCOTland&Sea food court) and after security here at Glasgow Airport itself, opening from 4am or from nearby hotels also. Depending how you are travelling and from which direction there are other establishments near the airport. Paisley being the closest town with a variety of establishments to choose from however choice and connectivity is also good from Glasgow using the M8 motorway.
If you wish any further information please contact us directly, our contact details can be found on our website.
Many Thanks
Ewen

I would take the local bus that takes you right to the city centre from outside the airports doors

Once you are checked in is there a smoking area?
cmac71
Motherwell, UK488 contributions
Sadly no, they are treated like lepers, and are far from being progressive, unlike many other airports, in the UK and abroad, who have smoking cages or areas after security. There used to be areas where you could go "outside" while being in the airport. I personally think in this day and age not providing a secure fresh air area for smokers in discriminatory. Newcastle airport has a caged platform in the main terminal, through a few doors at the far side of one of their bars, but typical Glasgow, very narrow minded all the while apparently "leading the way" or so they think, to me it is just discriminatory, all the while you can freely get booze, at any hour, staggering
