A good day out

Had a good day at the races in early January. A good crowd attended but there is plenty of room to buy food, get a drink and put a bet on.

Ayr is a great racecourse with most of the facilities fairly close together. I went with some good friends on one of the hospitality packages where you received a voucher for a race card, food and a drink along with your entry. We went to the New Years meeting. I wanted to give the venue five stars but there were... More

We went to the races at new year.it was a good day out. However we arrived an hour before the first race and there wasn't a seat to be had. More seating should be provided for the elderly and disabled

I was with family in a private hospitality box at Ayr Racecourse on 2 Jan. 2016 and had a very enjoyable experience. The box was freshly decorated and the table was well set for lunch. The 3 course lunch of soup, steak pie and sticky toffee pudding was actually very good considering the numbers being served at the venue. The... More

well worth a visit. Go for the Club enclosure and aim for a seat outside at the champagne bar. In nice weather it is lovely and as long as it is dry it can be nice sitting outside even in winter. champagne bar is just beside the parade ring and you can get a good look at the horses .... More

Paid for Club enclosure which was a much shorter walk to the parade ring, the effort had been made to make both the course and facilities clean and appealing to the thousands of racegoers. The disappointing thing was the lack of food outlets in comparison to other courses especially for a big race day, compare that to the number of... More

Love Ayr races, especially during Gold Cup weekend! Third year in a row and we plan on visiting next year too! Every year more thought is given to making your day out as pleasurable as possible with increased bars and restaurants. Just get some more seating though!!

We go to the Gold Cup every year as a family and have such a good laugh. All good fun and stick to budget! Great day out and worth a visit. This year we had been issued with the wrong tickets in the post but this was remedied with no fuss on arrival. Boys enjoyed the fun too, would recommend!

What a superb racecourse this is. The hospitality in the Owners & Trainers is second to none. The whole racecourse experience at Ayr is fantastic. If most of the other racecourses were only half as good.
