Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The animals are kinda cute. There’s some ducks and cute sheep with curly horns and I’m sure the shows are fun, but we arrived at the wrong time for these.

However, most of the stuff isn’t actually made out of wool (one hat said 100% polyester). Anything that isn’t clearly labelled as wool isn’t. Oh, and don’t expect anything about the history of wool. It is just a shop selling tourist clothes and trinkets. Expensive at that.

We called into Aberfoyle for a coffee stop on our coach trip. We saw the centre across the car park and decided it was worth investigating. We loved looking at the ship and even saw ducks being rounded up

We had a lovely cup of coffee in the restaurant and then went shopping!! So much choice - you will definitely come out buying something and a lighter bank balance.

Avoid!
China products under Scottish label.
Do not go there.
It's a tourist trap that sells crap.
Go to the small booth in front of the centre.

Popped in for a sandwich, tea and cake the young girl who was severing us was great but her senior who I believe her name was Alison was extremely cocky and very rude to other members of staff in front of me and my partner, it was very embarrassing, maybe a bit of emotional intelligence training would be appropriate. On a positive note the sandwiches and cake were delicious.

We were visited on Wednesday 07th September 2022. The Scottish Wool Centre in Aberfoyle, has an extensive shop containing gifts to suit all budgets and a cafe which wasn't great, to be honest, so I recommend eating at one of the many other establishments in the town. There were some examples of the breeds in Scotland and apparently a free show on a Sheep obstacle course.

Enjoyed a look around the diverse and well stocked centre and had a good lunch in the cafe. A childrens playground and outside seating available with access from the cafe. Attentive staff and quick service. Prices were fine.

We purchased lunch from their café and sat outside to eat our toasties. Then we listened to the shepherd talk about his sheep before watching his border collie herd three ducks around the obstacle course. Talks & demonstrations are at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Finally, had a look round the shop. Best bit was touching the sheep!
