We were a little disappointed, as to us the title wool centre gave the impression of a wool centre, somewhere that would possibly tell/show the history of wool - how it started on the sheep and ended up a jumper. In fairness it did tell...More

The Scottish Wool Centre is a visitors center located in the town of Aberfoyle. A good place to view the many uses of wool ( all for a price) and use the loo. The Visitors center also has a wide variety of farm animals on...More

Cafe Service was 2 star at best. Busy with visitors but slow and flustered. The worst scone, jam and cream as all dry and broke up into crumbs, even the cream! Dots of solidified sauce (for extra flavour) were glued to the plate so you...More

Used to visit a relative in Aberfoyle in the 1960s. Had been subsequently, but not for a few years now. Went on 11 May 2018. Had never been to Scottish Wool Centre. Won't be rushing back. Looks drab, and in need of a bit of...More

Our tour bus stopped at The Scottish Wool Centre midday. We enjoyed a lunch for two (£15) which included sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, cupcakes and tea/coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious and the kitchen staff were fabulously friendly and helpful too! After lunch,...More

Stopped in Aberfolye for lunch. This was a really nice shop with a small lunch place. They have many different types of sheep and a herding dog. Got to see a dog demonstration and it was fun.

Principally an education on Scottish sheep industry and the creation of wool making-very interesting even if one is not particularly interested in the process as it is well produced. A large shopping area and cafe to cater for all needs. The demonstration area is free to...More

As a big fan of whisky. I am always up to date with the cost of the amber nectar. I was truly shocked at the over inflated prices in this establishment. A bottle of whisky that cost £25.00 plus in the supermarket is selling for...More
